If it is because ownership has an expectation to win now with Jefferson in his prime and an elite defense, then that's a sad excuse. How do you ever develop a franchise QB if that's the case? Then every decision has to center around Jefferson and the defense not aging out in 3-4 years?
With the healthy issues of Wentz and Murray, we better pray they stay healthy this season. I'll also say some of Kevin's facial expressions during the Bucs game after Murray's bad plays was awfully reminiscent of how he looked during JJM's struggles last year...

Why do you think they could only get a 5th round pick for him? He was a long shot to be a competent starter. Let alone a top 10 starter. He's NYs problem now.

I am not a happy camper. Was really hoping he'd somehow pull it all together when given the chance here again.

I dont know wtf this team is going to do at QB in the future? And I'm beyond tired of that conundrum with this franchise.

It is discouraging that after the the Cousins years that led up to drafting the QB in the 1st that we currently do not have that QB of the future on the roster and will be likely to starter over with the search in the off season.

I think regarding JJM rumors will begin to trickle in soon as to the real reason the trade was made, which I think his performance was a big part of it, but I think there was definitely more, specifically related to him not taking to the coaching here. Teams do not just give away 10th picks of the draft 3 years later unless they feel it is really a lost cause.

Like I've said, I would not have traded JJ unless there were some sort of debilitating problem in the locker room. We never really heard about anything, but I think it was La Canfora who's been suggesting for weeks that JJ wasn't as stoked with his QB3 role as his happy-go-lucky demeanor might suggest. Maybe that's true. If so, then I get it.

Still, however small JJ's chances of becoming a franchise QB were at this point, having a young, cheap QB with tools for days who "might" still develop is worth something. It's worth more to us than a 5th rounder, though I'm not suggesting we could've gotten more. 5th round is what many of us projected his market value to be.

And just like that, the first QB this franchise has ever taken in the top 10 is gone 2 years later. It all seemed to happen so fast. I still think if he hadn't torn his meniscus his rookie season, things would be different.

Or if he had opted for the trim that Bowers just did.

They need to be bold (not stupid) at QB next season...I'm talking Accorsi going for Manning bold.

If there is a player in the draft they love? Get a deal done, unlike what happened with Maye.

But that was never going to happen. Chicago, Washington and New England all needed a QB, nobody was moving off of that. Someone floated the notion that New England was so roster poor that they should pass on Maye is really laughable. If you think the dude is a franchise guy, the number of draft picks offered doesn't mean crap. The Giants and Vikings went after Maybe hard and the Patriots didn't even consider it. I get that, although Maye is looking shaky right now.

My opinion on QBs, which currently is lower than a snake's belly, is if Arch Manning slides in the Draft a bit for whatever reason, do what you need to and pounce. JMO. Otherwise I think this Justin Herbert stuff is not going to happen and is mostly baseless Twitter crap.

Probably not and the best response to my post (that I expected) was that it takes 2 to tango (which is true.) But we also had KAM negotiating and I heard NE was listening until KAM wanted some upper-mid picks back.

Probably too much detail for this long of a stretch since then, but hey u gotta take a strong shot if u have conviction in someone.

I have no idea if there is anyone the Vikings will love enough at QB to make a move? QB's like Carr and Chambliss are dreamy for fan boys like me. I'm not a big Manning fan.

They'll need someone with upside in the pipeline - and not Brosmer upside.

Sunk Cost Fallacy. He isn't the answer and there is a stacked class coming next year. We roll with Murray/Wentz and if they bomb we go all in and trade up for a QB next year.

Or we do the same thing we have done for 30+ years and pick up another has been and wash rinse and repeat what the Vikings always do.

All you need to know is he couldn't beat out Wentz for QB2. That is really all you need to know. It really is that simple.

What do you mean all-in? Like trade Turner, JJ, Darrisaw and 3 firsts?
