HOOOOOLLLLD up... Mond wasn't vaccinated either?!?
Saw this buried in the Day 5 thread and everybody apparently missed it:
Correction: Reported Saturday night that Kellen Mond was vaccinated. That is not true. Been told by multiple people he was following protocols for unvaccinated players before testing positive. It's why he was testing in the first place. Unvaxxed tested daily. Sorry to mislead.
— Andrew Krammer (@Andrew_Krammer) August 2, 2021
So 75% of the QB's (Cousins, Mond, Stanley) were unvaccinated. Vikings must have the dumbest QB room in the NFL SMDH. No wonder Zim is blowing fuses.
P.S.: There goes the anti-vaxxers' "But the vaccinated guy tested positive and we jumped on Kirk" argument. Turns out we just had one more idiot than we realized.

Almost always unvaccinated, the new arrivals tend to be younger, many in their 20s or 30s. And they seem sicker than younger patients were last year, deteriorating more rapidly. "Doctors have coined a new phrase to describe them: “younger, sicker, quicker.” Many physicians treating them suspect that the Delta variant of the coronavirus, which now accounts for more than 80 percent of new infections nationwide, is playing a role. Studies done in a handful of other countries suggest that the variant may cause more severe disease, but there is no definitive data showing that the new variant is somehow worse for young adults. "Some experts believe the shift in patient demographics is strictly a result of lower vaccination rates in this group."
But Covid only affects the older people with commodities.

Some may never change their stance, but maybe after seeing what happened during the first week of camp, others will.
Maybe Zim needs to call Ron. I think some of the WTF players were defending their guy a bit after those comments too. Something has to be done though.
And I'm sure it doesn't help that the Vikings have a member of the coaching staff also not getting vaccinated.
The year is 2025. NFL Network airs their new episode of "Missing Rings".
Today we feature the 2021 Minnesota Vikings. They had everything going right in the playoffs. 1st round bye, thwomped the GB Packers in the divisional round. Beat the Goat in the NFCC game. The as things always seem to go for the Vikings, 30% of the team will miss the Superbowl including QB Kirk Cousins due to covid caught during their playoff success celebrations.

I think it's just organic progress. To torture a quote, I think the arc of belief is long but bends toward truth.
I think most educated people, after hearing from professionals who separate myth from reality, will make the right choice. It's why I have hope for Thielen, Smith, Richardson, etc. It's the "true believers" who are the problem. The ones who will happily die before changing their minds, because persecution and ridicule is part of their walk with God, and just another test of their faith.
And I'm afraid our starting QB is one of those.
Connecting the dots... does anyone else think our league low vaccination rate is directly tied to the fact that our starting QB is against getting the COVID vaccine? If we find out Kirk is influencing players to not get the vaccine and he and other players miss time this season due to COVID... I think we'll see Kirk in a different uniform next year, cap hit be damned.

I'm sure, if asked, he voices his beliefs but I doubt he's out there trying to influence others.

I think Cousins is the most underrated QB in the NFL. But I've always believed that lack of true leadership was his biggest flaw.

Yep, my favorite sports team doomed by a Cult of personality! Just my Viking luck.

Let Cousins miss a few games because of the NFL draconian health rules. He gets paid, the NFL suffers. The owners should vote to exclude all unvaccinated players and coaches from any NFL stadium, practice field, meeting room, gym, cafeteria, etc. Make them ineligible to play. Just make vaccination a prerequisite for employment with the NFL or any of its member clubs. Anyone with a valid medical exemption is excused but has to be masked at all times while on any NFL property.

I kinda hope they all catch it before the season starts. Miss a preseason game....not that big of a deal.

Boy, stupidity has run amok here. LOL You have internet tough guys like HawkVike, MaroonBalls, and Barr55 calling pro football players pussies and dumb fucks because they don't agree with their views on being vaccinated? Lol. All of you would have your ass handed to you if you saw them in person, and wouldn't be nearly so brave. I've met some of you in the past, and your ability to back up your words is virtually non-existent. Most of you are all up in arms about others being vaccinated, but the studies show two things so far about them. If you receive them, your chances of being hospitalized or dying go down at such a magnitude as to being safer than the common flu. That being true, and if you are all true believers, then why why do you care if other players choose to be vaccinated? You should be whining about the league rules, not trying to steal personal choice away from people who have beliefs counter to yours, many of whom are much more intelligent than you. You all whine like little bitches to this day about a former leader who enabled mass production of the same vaccines that you now claim are saving the world. The NFL should open things up and let people play. If a player is feeling sick, they probably shouldn't play, (much like the flu). If a player who is unvaccinated dies, he dies. You should be whining about the guys blowing their hands off with fireworks and driving 110mph, not QB's playing into their mid 40's because they know how to take care of themselves. It's really that simple at the end of the day. The NFL has stupid rules in place, but because you guys are such "megafans", let's take away a bunch of players rights so the billionaires, can billionaire a little more. Normally, I'm all for the owners, but this is just stupid, and so is the short-sightedness of following group think created by a govt who now freely admits regulating what the media reports. Whole bunch of stupidity here, but go on by all means.

We have a variant now because we didn't get enough vaccinations and herd immunity. So now those that remain unvaccinated are dealing with a stronger virus, more contagious. And a greatly reduced amount are wearing masks anymore so more of the populace has been exposed, hence the rapid-fire spread among the unvaccinated. If you're insinuating that the scientists and doctors are wrong about COVID, they aren't. If you aren't insinuating that, have a great day. Sarcasm is sometimes hard to decipher in written form.
