Wow....

Yeah, DIA is never that empty. My goodness, this thing has really gotten ahold of people. But I suspect that it's going to make a far bigger dent in the global economy than the global population.

What changes have you made? Personally, I have tickets to fly to San Francisco with my kids to see my brother in a couple of weeks. And, so far anyway, I plan to go. But I have to say I'm a little nervous about it, especially with my kids. Not as much about the virus as how people are panicking about it. A flight yesterday was rerouted to Denver because someone, um...sneezed. And I am narrowing in on some ridiculously priced tickets to Cancun in May. Am I crazy?

LOL. Damn Brits and their misleading headlines. "Hall of Fame American Football Player Says..." If they'd just said "Mike Dikka says..." I could've saved the click.

so basically those tests are shit, there is more than 1 covid 19 virus,  and if you've been exposed to wait about a week before bothering to get tested?

and the new guidelines will be coming in 3...2...1...

this thing seems like 2 steps forward,  3 steps back.

And if the tests are shit, then the results are shit.
If the results are shit then the data is shit.
Early in this thread, 2 posters said they tested positive. I haven't heard of any deaths or serious illness from that.
I have a co worker that tested positive. Her live in fiance whom she swaps spit with daily never tested positive, neither did anyone she works with or hangs out with.
A friend of mine who works at a cancer clinic, administering chemo, tested positive for the antibodies or whatever it is that indicates you had Covid at one time. None of her patients has ever tested positive and these are some of the most vulnerable, right up there with nursing home patients.
The media is selling fear and a whole bunch of people are buying

brought to you by a left wing media site... is anybody telling the straight truth without bending it for some form of agenda?

I heard this morning on radio news out of Minnesota that China is being accused of spreading false information on English speaking websites about the virus to cause chaos and confusion on stopping the spread and to create more animosity among Americans and other English speaking countries citizens.  (which I dont doubt one bit)  If this is true,  then how likely is it that this virus spread was a designed weapon?

Minnesota seeks to punish rodeo organizers who bucked governor's safety orderThe organizers of a rodeo in the tiny northern Minnesota town of Effie are facing state punishment after disregarding warnings not to hold the event in violation of an executive order restricting the size of public gatherings. It’s the first time the state has brought an enforcement action against an entertainment venue that has operated “in open defiance of the law,” Attorney General Keith Ellison said in a news release.

Meanwhile, at least one person who attended the rodeo has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Minnesota Department of Health.
Ellison on Friday filed a complaint in Itasca County District Court against North Star Ranch for alleged violations of Gov. Tim Walz’s executive order limiting attendance at public events during the pandemic.
The ranch and its owner, Cimarron Pitzen, could face a fine of up to $25,000 for each violation of the order and be forced to give up any money collected at the event, as well as pay costs and attorney fees.
Pitzen, whose family has staged the rodeo since 1955, did not answer his phone Friday. The voice mail greeting on his answering machine said it was turned off.
Ellison’s complaint alleges that Pitzen became angry after state officials told him he’d have to limit attendance at the event, billed as the largest outdoor rodeo in the state.
Officials had told him that based on the venue’s size, no more than 132 people could attend.
After angrily and profanely ending a conversation with a representative of Ellison’s office, he took to Facebook and encouraged rodeo fans to protest, the complaint says.
“The North Star Stampede will take place with no spectators,” Pitzen wrote in a post two days before the scheduled July 24 start of the event. “If people would like to come and protest against this ridiculous Government Over Reach, feel free to do so, I will not stand in the way of peoples ‘Right to Assemble.’ ”
During the three days of the rodeo in the town of 118 residents about 225 miles north of the Twin Cities, Pitzen did not attempt to do the following, the complaint says: limit the crowd, enforce social distancing, provide assigned seating or implement common safety measures such as partitions between attendees and ticket sellers.
Thousands of spectators attended over the weekend, according to news reports cited in the complaint.
“Stopping the spread of COVID-19 is everyone’s responsibility. It’s in all Minnesotans’ interest for businesses and events to comply with the law and the Governor’s executive orders so that we can protect ourselves, our loved ones, our communities, and our livelihoods,” Ellison said in a news release. “My office has been working successfully for months with businesses and events across Minnesota to help them understand the law and the Governor’s executive orders so that they can operate responsibly and keep Minnesotans safe during this pandemic.

I would bet $'s and donuts this was representative of the # of face masks at this thing...

I hope nobody gets ill from attending.

I wonder if a lot of rural residents think these rules are only needed to protect people in the cities and suburbs?
