OT: Coronavirus
Wow....
Yeah, DIA is never that empty. My goodness, this thing has really gotten ahold of people. But I suspect that it's going to make a far bigger dent in the global economy than the global population.
What changes have you made? Personally, I have tickets to fly to San Francisco with my kids to see my brother in a couple of weeks. And, so far anyway, I plan to go. But I have to say I'm a little nervous about it, especially with my kids. Not as much about the virus as how people are panicking about it. A flight yesterday was rerouted to Denver because someone, um...sneezed. And I am narrowing in on some ridiculously priced tickets to Cancun in May. Am I crazy?

4 states have zero mask requirements. SD and Montana, firmly red states, and IA and WI, strong blue states. As much as some want to make it a political issue, it is not divided on party lines any more than the virus knows what color ties its victims prefer. Which is why I am not allowing politics in this thread and will remove anybody that tries to make this topic political on the non political board. Thank you for trying to help keep it that way.
what % of those that get the virus end up with severe conditions, even among those with underlying health issues?
I am just curious if this doesnt end up being like the chicken pox where parents try and get their kids, and adults get exposed at a young age to try and establish immunity (yet to be determined) instead of fumbling about for a decade hoping for an antivirus. I know in my 40s I would much rather get it now than in 10 years.

My comment about 'red asses' has nothing to do with Red or Blue states. Its a term for a hot head, usually in baseball but otherwise also.red-ass. a person who is so intense in his/her competitive spirit that they are constantly on the verge of boiling over.
This is why we're seeing spikes in COVID positive tests. This is how this shit is getting spread around:

Ignorant red asses. who gives a shit if somebody is wearing a mask? I havent seen that, but I have seen people that think the distancing rules dont apply to them because they are wearing a mask. personally I question the effectiveness of the mask wearing in terms of really limiting the spread, since people are constantly fucking with their masks or dont have them covering their nose and mouth sufficiently to stop the spread. I think the mask give a false sense of safety/security to some when it really shouldnt.hell some of the "masks" that we have seen are so poorly constructed or made of materials that dont stop shit that its really hard to take some wearers serious. I do like how the fashion people are getting in on the "designer" masks some of them are pretty stylish, even if they arent really preventing much.
Reminds me of what my 95 year old mother in law said the other day. "You can see why they never get point of birth control by they way they wear those masks"

when are they going to just come out and admit they really dont know shit about this virus? seriously, they have a constantly growing list of "at risk" people that by now should have something that covers just about every fricking person on the planet, and the growing list of symptoms is like listening to the lists of potential side effects from an ED drug commercial... for shits sake, why dont they just come out and say everybody is going to die from this thing, its going to be a miserable death of a variable symptoms, and there isnt a damn thing you can do about it unless you lock yourself in your home and die of starvation or get so depressed you end it yourself.

Who do you mean by they?
I think that has been the message all along, that's what the extreme quarantine protocols are about, only sure way to not get it, the rest is just probability modeling.

Wait till the arguments over "is it the result of a previous existing condition" start, that will be another uniquely American exceptionalism divide.

@NFL @NFLPA can we have an update on training camp procedures, testing, etc.? We’re 4 weeks from the assumed start of training camp and it would be nice to have adequate info before I attempt to move my family across country during a pandemic...
