Annual VikeFans Tailgate and get together?
OK, Now that camp is behind us its really time to get cranking on this thing. We are targeting the Tampa Bay game on Sunday September 24th for our annual goings on. We are once again hoping to do some sort of Saturday gathering as well as a tailgate before the game....during the game.... and maybe after the game as well ( watch out for the cracks in the asphalt...they can be a real challenge) for those that dont know... typically there are a few that dont have tickets to the game, but want to hang out anyway so we get a TV set up in the parking lot with the game feed going on it for those outside... (this is actually a pretty good time as you can really get to know your brethren and the beers is much much cheaper)
So before we set anything in stone, who would be planning on joining us? Please note "Saturday", "Sunday", or "Both" in your responses as well as how many would be in your group if it will be more than just yourself.

I was thinking a black garbage bag with some ice and beer for me a couple juices/water for my girls. So when the game is over nothing left behind but maybe ice and a garbage bag that the guys could use if need be for clean-up.
Purplemachine - If you want, just let me know what you'd like and I can include it in one of the coolers. It'll be cold when you get there. I'll have bottles of water already on ice.

We will have the VikeFans.com Banner up and Flying so look for that!
I will try and post a picture of it in here tomorrow.
We will also try to remember to let everybody know a general location once we get that established.

I'm bummed out, family issues came up and I won't be able to make it to the tailgate with my clan. Party hard for me Skol brothers and sisters!

We're at the Normandy after having a great BBQ with old friends from Denver who now live in Lynnhurst. Plan to be at the tailgate with my kids between 8 and 9. Can't wait!
Yall better show and show hungry ....64 pounds of BBQ# and that's not counting the sides!

It really was a fun time. You guys did an amazing job with the food and set up. As someone who has done it before, I *know* how much work is involved. And you hit it out of the park. My regular group was VERY impressed and loved it.
One of my favorite moments: After tasting the bacon wrapped meatballs a friend went up to JimmySD and said - "I know we just met. But I feel pretty comfortable saying this to you man. I love you!" Ha! I think that might have been meant for Mike. But wow, Jim cooks a mean brisket. Even our regular chef was impressed.
Whenever you're ready to do it again, just say the word. It worked out great. For those who didn't make it, you should definitely put this on your 'to do' list.

It was really a blast. Thanks to all who had a hand in it. Great to meet some new folks and put a face to a screen name.
Folks if at all possible to attend one of these please do it. They are a great way to meet your board personalities. :)
