CBS Sports.com Prisco: "Rumor is Vikings like Maye"

Personally, I would be rather disappointed with Maye...and I'm a Carolina guy.

Maye makes sense, as does McCarthy. Both are very mobile, but I sorta think KOC doesn't really want a running QB.

I think that is why we may be more interested in Maye or McCarthy...  They both have the ability to be strong passing options but can also run a bit and extend plays with their legs.  Definitely think after watching Dobbs, Hall, and Mullens last year...  We need a strong passer to run KOCs offense.  That might rank Maye and McCarthy over Daniels in the Vikings eyes...

These 2 are my favorite targets as well, outside of Williams. Will be thrilled with either and I really hope Kwesi can make it happen.

Falling in love with Maye, he wasn't a possibility before but he might be now.

The Vikings don’t make this move unless they’ve already had serious discussions with a specific team re: what it will take to move up for the QB they desire (presumably not named Caleb or Jayden). So is it NE at 3 (for Maye)? Or a team picking a couple/few spots down (for JJ)? https://t.co/3aQJ2GGpLA

all of these guys are mobile except Penix. I’m not buying this though. Maye is pretty inconsistent and has major accuracy issues on some easy throws. Unless he improves this, he’ll be an interception machine at the next level.

With that said, it’s possible KOC thinks he’ll be able to fix it. His downfield talent is indeniable.

Yep. I saw some speculating QB at 11, DL at 23. Almost no chance. If that was the plan, those are moves you make on draft night once you see a guy you love falling. Not 6 weeks prior. This is a clear signal, despite what KAM says about Darnold, that we are trying desperately to move up. And it'll hurt a lot if we're unable too. Again.

Just curious- what part aren't you buying? That we like Maye or that we are trying to move up?

For years folks hated the Pats because they always won, but since they were AFC I never had a problem with them. Belichick, Brady, their whole system impressed me. Now, if they don't trade us this pick, I'll have a reason to hate them lol. Do it, Pats!

Oh, be skeptical. Its still full blown Liar's Season. When things start to get more honest is about 3 days before the Draft. We have a LONG way to go.
