Definitely an enigma. If you get the late season and playoff Barmore he is most certainly a first, however the motor has been sporadic over his career.
imo,  that in itself should be a huge red flag,  that to me is the type of player that only shows up when the cameras are rolling,  but doesnt put in the work when it really needs to be done.  the guy that makes the probowl the last year of his contract,  but doesnt make a highlight reel the other years.
To give him some benefit of the doubt, he was part of a rotation his first year as a RS freshman. This past year he had minor knee surgery prior to the season that may have slowed him a bit as he got into game playing shape. Overall I agree this is a pretty bad year for DT's, but I don't think he's a bad selection if taken at the end of the first or in round 2 (although I think we're out of the running for him).

That seemed inevitable with the Dalvin Tomlinson signing.  With him, Pierce, Watts, Lynch, and Hercules (if they keep him on the roster), we have a bit of a log jam there already.  His money would be better spent on an OG with our limited cap space.

Hey, never know. Remember we used to give Richard Solomon shit about having dirt on Denny Green. Then it comes out they were both involved in some sort of sexual harassment suit.

Geez, he’s undersized but was a valuable rotational player. If this Hunter thing has legs it’ll be rough to Odenigbo as well.

Maybe they are releasing Odenigbo to free up cap space for Hunter? I like Odenigbo, but he didn’t step up when he had a chance for a bigger role last season. To be fair, it was hard to step up when the DL was so thin last season and I think he can be a nice rotational player somewhere.

I suppose they're fairly similar, but it's interesting to me that we're bringing Weatherly back, but maybe not Odenigbo?
Not sure how I feel about that, but I'll trust the coaches. Maybe there's more to the story too.

I think that Odenigbo is a better pass rusher than Weatherly, but IIRC, then Weatherly was more stout against the run. I wonder if their plan is trying to shore up the run defense? The wild card would be that Odenigbo could rotate inside, but maybe they are comfortable with Wonnum and Mata'afa in that role or feel they can grab another pass rusher in the mid rounds?
