The Legal Tampering Period
Brett Jones would be a solid addition for a power team. Give me Lane Taylor or Forrest Gump. I think injuries have disguised the talent of both players. But I wonder how much interest the Vikings will have. Durability seems to be a big factor in who they're choosing to pursue. After last year, it's no wonder I guess.

Doesn't mean he'll be durable but you probably could hide some of the cap hit in roster bonuses that'd be unlikely to be earned on the 2021 cap.
Personally I thought for better or worse they'd have interest in Pocic but I didn't expect him to get $3M either.

If you were running the Vikings would you trade for Orlando Brown Jr. If so, what would you give up?

I would at least keep on pulse on the cost. I would potentially offer #14 and a mid-round pick for their #27 and Brown. Maybe they find a better offer, but that is what works for the Vikings. They're flush with mid-round selections and it would allow them to fill a need (LT) while letting them double-dip in the 1st round at another position (S or DE). So you're using a single asset to fill 2 needs with good players.

Ugh this would be a dream scenario. To pull in Brown and still have a 1st and 3rd to play with.At 27#, if Phillips is still there, you take him. It is a high risk, bur extremely high reward. With Brown, he’s alone worth the price of 14. A surer commodity.
If we left the draft with Brown, Phillips and a G from round 3 or 4. That is a home run offseason. Just need one G to step up and play NFL avg.
Trenches rebuilt.

You think the Ravens go for that? What if they want the 2022 1st and #90?
Why not do that?
First round picks are crap shoots as evidenced by Bradbury. JJ was rare and we were very fortunate.
They cant wait for a tackle to develop. The hope would be the Vikings do not get Kolton Miller or Garrett Bolles.
The GM, coach, and QB all have two years left on their deals which might mean nothing but they need to win NOW.
Getting a proven solid above average young left tackle for a 1st round pick is not bad.
I wonder if the Ravens would go for the future 1st though?

I kind of like Oweh myself. He fits the Hunter mold.

Love Lamp's upside if he can stay healthy. Low risk high reward type signing. Out of the free agent guards available I love his fit in Minnesota
@"Geoff Nichols" With their purported interest in Brown, does that mean guys like Trey Smith and Ben Cleveland are legitimate draft targets?
I'll hang up and take your answer off air.
This is my home, they’re gonna need a wrecking ball to take me outta here! PITTSBURGH I LOVE YOU, LET’S GO!!!!! 💛🖤💛🖤 pic.twitter.com/SPFvCLUmFl

Steelers 8 mill
Baltimore 9 mill 4 incentives
More money from KC plus Mahomes.

Yeah, I guess having a 40 year old rapist throw to you has a certain appeal.

Maybe. I think if the lineman is good enough they'll deviate. I also think Ben Cleveland is pretty scheme dynamic. He plays better in space than a lot of people give him credit for.
Vikings’ free-agent safety Anthony Harris is signing a one-year, $5 million deal with the Eagles, @DrewJRosenhaus tells ESPN.
