just my opinion here,  i would never ever request that my players didnt show support for a departing team mate... that would be so poorly received by the players,  IMO no way that is the case.  There might be a lot of reasons why nobody is tweeting their good byes,  but I highly doubt its at the front offices or coaches request.

That's not how it works anymore...  you don't call someone to talk to them anymore.  You text, tweet, post on their instagram, etc.  Drives me nuts...  lol

I should have said asked to not blow it up on social media. Send it through texts or phone calls. I just said that could be the case. I never said it is the case. You guys like to just hit me in the face here lol. OK then. Sorry, I wont participate.
