His workout had NOTHING to do with getting back into the nfl.  It was a publicity stunt from start to finish.

Wow, we actually agree on something. It was a total PR stunt meant to give the appearance of the NFL giving CK his chance. What's surprising is that Kaepernick still participated instead of telling them to fuck off.

I pictured everyone showed up for his NFL sponsored workout, he refused to sign a waiver, and then he took it all across the street to the local park without having to sign any waiver.

My understanding is that the waiver went far beyond protecting the league against any injuries that may occur during the workout and included a waiver of any and all of CK's rights, claims, causes of actions, etc. against the NFL. I would not have signed that either of i were him. Presumably, without the waiver, he could not do the tryout in Atlanta's stadium so he had to go elsewhere. So he did.

Oh c'mon, Jimmy. You really think he didn't know what he was doing? LOL We're talking about a guy who had a 4.0 GPA through both high school and college. Turned down an offer to play for the Cubs so he could finish his degree in Business Management. His Wonderlic score was one of the highest ever. 

I don't think Kaepernick cares as much about getting back into the NFL as you would like him to. His wearing that shirt was obviously a not-so-subtle message: "I'm here to show you why I belong in the NFL, but if you think this means I'm going to back off of the issues I believe in, you can go fuck yourselves."

And I say amen to that.

In a statement released Saturday afternoon, the NFL presented its case in regard to the liability waiver.
"On Wednesday, we sent Colin's representatives a standard liability waiver based on the waiver used by National Invitational Camp at all NFL Combines and by NFL clubs when trying out free agent players," the NFL said. "At noon today, Colin's representatives sent a completely rewritten and insufficient waiver."

I am not certain he showed anything that any D1 qb could have shown in that workout.

Yeah, the narrative that Kaep is dumb is agenda-laden and completely wrong. I seem to remember a groundswell of conservative fans that declared 'I'm done watching the NFL!!' after the kneeling protest, yet ratings have been surging upward.

Based on the video released.  Go watch.  He was not impressive and designed the workout - it wasn’t designed by any NFL teams.  No pads.  No defense.  

You weren’t there - yet you think he proved he belongs in NFL.  Not sure how many in the NFL agree with you.

The point is any d1 qb could perform what he did.  It did not show that he was NFL ready.  His deep throws weren’t accurate. 

The idea that he showed them anything ... when he was benched when he was playing for accuracy issues ... is absurd.  

This “workout” didn’t show that he belongs in the NFL.
