Vikings Were One Of The Teams Supposed To Attend Kaepernick's Workout But
On Tuesday, Vikings GM Rick Spielman told reporters that the Vikings were one of the teams at the scheduled workout, but wouldn’t say whether or not they attended the workout once it moved, per Ben Goessling of the Star Tribune.

I think there is a lot of bull shit from both sides on what and how things went down.
all I know is that ck was a dip shit for wearing that tshirt to this thing if he actually wanted to show that he is serious about wanting another shot to get back into the league. or a brilliant move to stay unemployed but keeping his name in the news so that the endorsement money keeps flowing.
Oh c'mon, Jimmy. You really think he didn't know what he was doing? LOL We're talking about a guy who had a 4.0 GPA through both high school and college. Turned down an offer to play for the Cubs so he could finish his degree in Business Management. His Wonderlic score was one of the highest ever.I don't think Kaepernick cares as much about getting back into the NFL as you would like him to. His wearing that shirt was obviously a not-so-subtle message: "I'm here to show you why I belong in the NFL, but if you think this means I'm going to back off of the issues I believe in, you can go fuck yourselves."
And I say amen to that.
Yeah, the narrative that Kaep is dumb is agenda-laden and completely wrong. I seem to remember a groundswell of conservative fans that declared 'I'm done watching the NFL!!' after the kneeling protest, yet ratings have been surging upward.
IIRC Rating did fall off for a year or so and are only recently returning to pre kneeling BS marks. looking into it, the last 2 consecutive years saw declining ratings for the league.
Yes, I know this: but my point is they're back with a vengeance. And people can voice their displeasure how they'd like and I'm sure some did by not watching for a period of time. A protest, if you will. Its probably the main reason the NFL wants no part of Kaep. Keep in mind, I never said I agreed with him kneeling. But at the same time I can also understand he was blackballed. Some seem to not want to admit to that.

Of course he was blackballed. Of course he could have been a solid backup - but for his kneeling.Making him a backup on a team would create unnecessary qb controversy. Every bad throw by the starter would create tremendous outcry for Kap.
@"A1Janitor" said: The point is any d1 qb could perform what he did. It did not show that he was NFL ready. His deep throws weren’t accurate. The idea that he showed them anything ... when he was benched when he was playing for accuracy issues ... is absurd.
This “workout” didn’t show that he belongs in the NFL.
Where did you see the workout? Were they showing it at Comet Ping Pong? B)

i think the narrative in the past by his supporters was that he would start for X number of teams and that was the debate, not about him being a worthy back up, but we agree that he isnt worth the noise certainly as a back up and maybe even as a starter if he was deemed good enough to do so.

A real agent would have had the foresight to see the secondary workout unfolding and had their client following Kaepernick around town all day.

The narrative that this guy is anything other than smart or that he needs money is painfully inaccurate. He netted over $40 million in career NFL earnings. Already made several million a year on the current Nike endorsement deal.
Has/had million dollar endorsements with Beats, McDonalds, Jaguar, EA, Muscle Farm, Coke and so on. Got several million from the collusion settlement. Held a 4.0 GPA from high school through college. With that 4.0 college GPA graduated on time with a business degree.
Doesn't by any pro athlete standards live a lavish lifestyle. Financially secure enough to donate over a million of personal wealth to charities in one year. The guy is doing just fine financially.

Not at all. I don’t follow college football ... and don’t get into the Xs and Os.I respect you, maroon and Barr’s football knowledge. I read the posts but don’t contribute.
I heard on Fox News earlier today that two teams are interested in signing him.
this was a PR move for both sides I agree with Steven A Smith. CK has no interest in coming back to the NFL at a low backup salary to work his way back up the QB food chain. He was a middling passer and a very good team.
He's no Lamar Jackson.
I was a CK fan when he destroyed GB with his legs in The Playoffs.
That guy is long gone.
And the weird politics, disagreements, PC stuff, and mouthy boasting after 60 throws at his workout are EXACTLY why He isn't gonna ever take another live snap in The NFL.
Red Flags all over the place and he's the one throwing them up by all appearances.
Only thing I'll add is that I'll thank Kap for some wonderful post-season performances in Lamblow...God I loved seeing him wreck GB in their house in January....

Not sure what you would call it then. Definitely boastful, arrogant, delusional.
