Which team claimed Sloter?
I can't find it anywhere. As big of a talent as him surely would have been claimed, after all many here proclaimed he would be highly sought after and take a team to the super bowl. I did see that Deshon Kizer got claimed by the Raiders. Seems the QB whisperer John Gruden would surely see the talent in Sloter over Kizer????? How could so many teams be so wrong about this kid?????
Pelissero reports that Sloter has a workout with the Lions early this week, so there you go.
He's a sub-marginal talent. I don't wish him ill will, but the Vikings would have kept him if they felt otherwise. He came dirt cheap.
So this amazing piece of QB meat that posters on this board went nuts for, signed to be on the Arizona PRACTICE SQUAD. LMAO.
Let the coaches do the coaching......
Why all the vitriol re Sloter?
I sure wish the kid would have worked-out...As others have said, they've had a lot of different coaches internally be able to see the kid live and in-person. On the field and in the qb room.
I trust the decision more with Kubiak and crew here.
That said, I am not comfortable with just 2 qb's on the 53. But I suppose when you're down to you're 3rd qb option, you might as well put a fork in it.

Vitriol? Or just common sense? Depends how you want to look at it. Did anyone say they didn't want Sloter to work out? Nope. We all were very excited on this board when he was plucked from Denver.
But some are more pragmatic as fans than others. That's really what it come down to. Some just get when its time to cut bait.
Well...
Maybe vitriol isn the right word, just a lot of bad energy amongst the fans on this one...
So many here claimed he was going to get plucked and become the next GOAT QB, that Zimmer was an idiot. 0 of 31 teams claimed him....does that make all NFL and GM's idiots??? These arm chair genius QB savey posters have gone overboard, and like I said Friday, by Sunday they would all be quiet.......all I hear is crickets.
There is far more to being a QB than what the average fan can see in a few quarters of preseason. The coaches didn't think he was ready in all facets, they didn't even think he was ready enough to play with the twos, and 3 other team passed as well.
I did think we would pick him up on practice squad, but I think that is really the coaches admitting that they don't think he can take the next step. I wish the kid luck.

Door knob! Can you you find one post where someone said this?
"So many here claimed he was going to get plucked and become the next GOAT QB, that Zimmer was an idiot."
This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to false statements you've made up regarding this subject.
We are all Vikings fans here with varying opinions. Give it a rest.
Stop trolling!
He was not claimed off waivers. He signed with Arizona's practice squad as a free agent.
What if we offered him a spot on our practice squad but he told us to F off?

What if we didn't, which is the reality of the situation. Him and his parents lobbying in the media for him to get a better spot on the team was pretty much the end in purple for KS. Teams have no time for 3rd string guys creating distractions which is about as dumb as it gets for a 3rd string guy to be doing.
His talent for sandlot football against 3rd string scrubs with no real schemes or complex defenses is nice but not enough to build an NFL starter's career upon.
lol.....several people claimed that he would be snatched off waivers and win a superbowl, and guys like me would be sorry. The kid is on his 3rd practice squad in 4 years, hardly a path to NFL glory. No team even put a waiver claim on him, even the Raiders chose Deshon Kiser ahead of him......yet, he is still mr. wonderful.......
@"kmillard" said: JoDakota is Paul Allens sock puppet.Yep, I listened to PA and restated what he said. He said "I'm at practice every day, and Sloter just isn't getting it. He stated emphatically that SLoter would not be the backup." He was right........and it flew into all the Sloter jock sniffing fans that always were wanting Todd Bouman, Tyler Hienke, Joe Webb and other 3rd stringers to start for the vikings, because they were all going to be the next great QB. None were, and I don't see Sloter doing it either.
Kmillard is Sloter's sock puppet.

Yeah, I followed Sloter on Twitter. He got off on fans thinking he was some kind of great QB in waiting. I don't think he's the most mature kid. And the 'Sloter House' t-shirts?? LMAO. I wonder if any other practice squad QBs are marketing t-shirts with their name on them. And his family also got a bit silly about it all.

he was self promoting (almost like he was admitting his fame was fleeting and trying to cash in) the shirts were lame as hell. family... well find a mom or dad whos kid isnt deserving of more.

as far as PA, yeah... there is a solid source of quality information. PA is given a packet that says who he is supposed to pimp and what "hot takes" he is supposed to make, he is a shill for the team and nothing more. when was the last time you actually heard him take a position that was counter to what the coaches or GM does.... exactly... but hey, he was at practice every day.

I just find it interesting. None of it is really surprising. As you say, why not make a little money on t-shirts and I believe he actually was giving most of the proceeds to charity? So good on Kyle. Nothing bad about the kid at all, I was rooting for the guy to progress just like we all were when the team snagged him from Denver. Its just interesting he bought into some hype about himself when in reality, the coaches needed to see a lot more. Can't just say, 'Im a gamer' to rationalize shortcomings. He seemed in denial about that.
