This team mashes the ball like nobody else, and I love it. It's insane a guy like Buxton is batting 9th, and he's fantastically getting more dangerous as the season goes on. They have the depth that can just wear opposing teams down. There just isn't any soft spots in their batting order now.
If they could just get some strength and depth in the late inning bullpen. That's their weakness, and good teams will expose it.
While this team isn't perfect, it's still an incredible turnaround from last season.
Skol Twins! B)

reminds me of the royals a few years ago, their starting rotation was so dominant, but their season was ruined once teams got to their bull pens. Our bull pen isnt good, but their arent that bad either, they are just not getting away with any mistakes and even some good pitches are getting knocked around. kind of snake bitten right now.

It's crazy how deep the everyday lineup is... when you have Cron, Sano, Garver, Schoop, and Buxton batting 5 through 9... those guys could easily be some teams 1-5 hitters.
Wow, anyone stay up for that marathon? I admit I bailed after the 11th. B)
Way to go Kep - Skol Twins!

Nope! But I was happy to see the Twins won when I woke up this morning... :-D
Somebody get Sano a chicken and Jobu some rum! My Lord is that guy frustrating to watch!

Hey needs to go down for a while, it would be one thing if his defense was worth letting him work through it, but he isnt a great 3rd baseman either. Send him down and see if he finds some pride and focus to learn to see the strike zone.
and last night a walk off win in the bottom of the 17th! Incredible game. They are for real.
pretty much my fault. i watched to two previous games and they lost. didnt watch last night and they won.

And then the real Kyle Gibson shows back up in the rotation at the absolute worst time. When they needed and innings eater they get 4.3 innings of true Kyle. And maybe, just maybe, Sano isnt ready for the show just yet? He is now 0-10 in the last 2 games with 7Ks. There has to be somebody in AAA that can play 3rd and hit at least 200.

The BSox are the defending champs, and this Twins team stood toe to toe with them.
I think the trade deadline will be interesting, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find Sano on his way out. I really like this Arraez kid, and he can play 3rd too.
Ok its got to be me. Ive watched 3 games this year and all three have been L’s. Guess I need to get off the bandwagon.
Gibson had the control of a kid in the candy store.
Sano needs some batting practice.

Astudillo has over 200 career at-bats with a career average over .300 so keep giving him a shot I'd say. Arraez only has about 30 but he's almost at .400 so why not on him too?
Before this season the team needed a guy with power like Sano and all the strike-outs could be overlooked. That isn't the case with the team this year. Every other guy in the usual lineup has been hitting the ball hard and/or over the fence on a regular basis, without striking out 46% of the time like Sano is.
Can the Twins deal Sano, Royce, and an additional top prospoect for Max Scherzer? October could be amazing with a pitching rotation of:
1) Scherzer
2) Berrios
3) Odorizzi
those 3 with our hot lineup is how we can get past the Yankees and Astros to rep the AL in the WS
The rest of the AL Central sucks so bad the Twins will coast.

I dont know that they way they have played the last couple weeks that they would survive any coasting. even in their wins they have looked like a different club that absolutely monster mashed the month of may.
@"JimmyinSD" said:I think you're being too hard on this club... I think the Twins are the only team in MLB to not have a 3+ game losing streak (the most they've lost is 2 in a row a few times) so far this season.@"StickyBun" said: The rest of the AL Central sucks so bad the Twins will coast. they have the indians at least 8 more times... Last I checked, the Twins still have the best record in the AL and are just behind the Dodgers in all of MLB.
Let's face it... the Twins have a very good team. Hopefully they address their biggest weakness (bull pen) before the trade deadline. If they can do that, this team can make some noise.
