I don't believe that for a minute. I think JJ showed enough progress to keep developing him. He should be a capable QB2 this season. I think there's even an outside chance he could be our starting QB in 2027.

UNLESS....he throws some kind of fit over this and coexisting in the QB room with Kyler is not possible.

When we first drafted JJ McCarthy, I called him Zack Wilson, 2.0. Keep in mind when he was at Michigan His defense only gave up 10 points a game and he could throw when he WANTED to throw WITH THE LEAD. (that’s easy)

He was a glorified game manager, not an NFL starting caliber quarterback. KOC sees this.

I will admit, on the surface, is does make you wonder. Wentz is a little overqualified for QB3. But I can also see why the Vikings didn't want to take any chances after what happened last year, especially given the injury history of both their QB1 and QB2.

I think vikings.com needs a new manager. They don't even have this news up yet. Or maybe they haven't been told yet.

In the thread, top left there is a "mod" drop down. You need the link of the other thread. I just went the wrong direction, I think I merged his into mine instead of yours into his.
