So Stupid...

Vikings rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison was cited for speeding and reckless driving early Thursday morning in St. Paul, Minn.
Addison,
21, is accused of traveling 140 mph in a 55-mph zone while driving a
Lamborghini Urus, according to a statement by the Minnesota State
Patrol. The incident occurred on eastbound Interstate 94 near Dale
Street in St. Paul, according to the MSP.
Addison, whose place of residence is listed as Frederick, Md., played college football at Pittsburgh and Southern California. He won the 2021 Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s top receiver at Pitt before transferring to USC for his junior season.
Okay so no drinking or drugs but dude seriously come on now, find a speedway or somewhere that will accommodate you. I know he is young but he needs to get a clue

It was 3 in the morning, can't imagine there was a whole lot of traffic. We'll see if he makes the news for "wrong" reasons in the future, hopefully not. But like I stated I really don't think this is a big deal. What kind of car do you have?

Could it be two years in a row where we almost see nothing from our #1 picks?
Just letting Kwesi cook!!!! Isn't that everybody's favorite saying? The guy doesn't know shit and it's showing..
Cine and Addison can absolutely both still be great players for us. Rough starts for sure but that happens sometimes. If they are, all will be forgiven and forgotten. If not well hopefully the rest of the team can pick up the slack and KAM may not be long for the big chair. If that's the case so be it. He did hire KO though, which is also an important part of the job and looks like a good move so far.
EDIT- I will say, I'm more confident in Cine helping us out than Addison, and I'd have said that yesterday too.
Cine has a brain. Addison, not so much!

Maybe the team will make him go van shopping with Cousins.

Is Addison some kind of nerd too? He and Captain Kirk should get along great! B)

After watching the draft and interview of Addison did anyone else "Cringe".
That he weighed 174lbs didn't make it better.
Now the "uh-oh Kwesi can't see past his analytics" is becoming apparent.
I guess if you get a Lamborghini, you probably need to see
what it can do at some point. Maybe he
was being responsible and testing it out at the time when the least number of people
were on the road. ;)
If you are going 140 mph at 3:00am I’m guessing you were either loaded or high. Since he was “cited” and not arrested I’m also guessing he was never tested.

The Wilfs took a huge swing on him at least partially for political reasons and thusfar he hasn't done anything to prove he knows what he is doing from a personnel standpoint. "Out of the box" hire is putting it mildly. If this Addison pick blows up...how long do we stick it out with this guy and his "competitive rebuild?" Knowing the Wilfs it will probably be at least a few years longer then it should to the detriment of all of us

There's got to be more to this story. Like I said, traveling at a speed that excessive usually results in a trip to jail and not a citation. Looks like the police did a high risk stop and just the way he walks back and some type of interaction takes place with him and the Officer before he is detained. Again, would love to see the Officers body camera and a justification as to why Addison was cited instead of arrested and booked
Lambo makes an SUV? And he BOUGHT ONE?
Like buying a sports car manufactured by Hummer.
Unreal - you want a Lambo you get the Aventador, 2017 Diablo, or 25th Ann. Countach (1988-1990)

Yeah, it's weird. I can't decide whether it's really stupid or remarkably modest.
I mean you don't even know that's a $300K car until you're close enough to see the logo. Until then it looks no different than an SUV made by Toyota or Mazda. Odd choice for a diva-wannabe.

More eyes will be on him at TC than normal for a 1st round pick...and he's going to have a microphone stuck in his face to see what his response is without that piece of paper from his agent to read from.

....then threw the statement in his locker ala Ryan Leaf
The other really concerning factor here is that this was not some traffic free zone, which you may expect at that time, there are other cars on the road and he was really putting the lives of others at serious risk. Agree that it was really odd that he does not pull off to the side of the road and then also very bizarre that he gets out of the car, which you would think anyone would know to stay in the car. I am sure that did not sit well with the officers.
I am not sure how anyone does a pre-draft interview with this kid and then spends a first round pick on him as it is painfully obvious he is not very bright and all about himself. A really poor reflection on our "GM" who has been questionable at best.
