Say What Now?

This is going to hurt Flores future coaching opportunities and going to hurt Ross if the NFL truly investigates.
Saying you never want to work in the NFL again without saying it.
They'll rip the team from Ross right quick if Flores can prove that. A real shame.
The true W in all of this will be when the Raiders are on a heater next season and some email Josh McDaniels sent Brian Flores back in 2015 gets unearthed and Josh gets fired from LV.
Profootballtalk said: Flores also alleges that Ross tried to get him to recruit “a prominent quarterback” who was under contract to another team, in violation of league tampering rules. Flores says he refused. The lawsuit also says the Giants scheduled a sham interview with Flores last week to comply with the Rooney Rule, and that Flores learned that his interview was a mockery because his former boss, Patriots coach Bill Belichick, mistakenly texted him a congratulatory message, thinking that the Giants were going to hire him.
In fact, Belichick later revealed that he had misunderstood another text he received and that he was actually told the Giants were hiring Brian Daboll. The Giants did, in fact, hire Daboll, and the texts suggest that they had already made that decision and scheduled the interview with Flores only because the Rooney Rule required them to interview a minority coach before they could make the Daboll hiring official.
Well I think the chances of Harbaugh to Miami just ended

If what he's saying is true and he can prove it, this will be league-changing.

They put out a statement saying they will defend against claims that they assert are without merit without investigation. Flores is going to get hosed here.
- Miami owner Stephen Ross offered to pay him $100,000 for each loss
- Ross pressured him to tamper
- texts from Bill Belichick show that the Giants already had their coach picked before they even interviewed him.
I love football. I really do. But, man this shit Ross did, if true, they need to Sterling him asap...
is going to resonate throughout sports and be a significant moment in the history of the league. I’ve spoken to two other coaches who believe they have the receipts to be a part of the class. This could be a tsunami before it’s all over. And I'm sure a big segment of this board just takes the word of Flores as gospel. lol I'm guessing like everything else there a set of facts for Ross, a set of facts for Flores, and the truth which lies somewhere in between. Not holding my breath on this one either way.

Texts from Bill Belichick to Brian Flores, congratulating Brian for landing the #Giants job.

Belichick thought he was texting Brian Daboll. He was texting Flores by mistake. pic.twitter.com/Y686XcjYC3
Just asking, what did Ross do wrong that indy didn't do when they sucked for luck? Or other teams that have shut down stars at them end of pointless campaigns?
@"pattersaur" said:Not saying anything about the veracity of his allegations. Just that, a coach can cheat, pay bounties, mistreat players, GMs can run porn rings, tamper, skirt the rules, but I doubt there is room in the club for anyone that pulls back the curtain.@"greediron" said: Saying you never want to work in the NFL again without saying it. @"greediron" said:Good point and yep, I agree. And depending what he can prove then maybe he won't need to. I'm pretty sure Hulk Hogan made more money suing Gawker for leaking his sex tape than he did in about 30 years of wrestling. If Flores has receipts he's about to get paid. Plenty of college programs that would welcome him if he still has the itch to coach.@"pattersaur" said:Not saying anything about the veracity of his allegations. I feel like there is going to be a settlement of some kind and the league is not going to admit wrongdoing but give the performative theater as evidenced in the statement. The statement talks about diversity being at the core of everything they do. Is it really? The good old boys club is going to continue the PR push for the image and to protect the shield.

If Ross offered him money to lose and Flores has proof, Ross has more than the NFL to be worried about.
At least the maximum prison sentence is only 5 years.
Edited just to clarify an owner telling a coach to lose is not an issue, aside from the whole integrity of the game thing. It’s the bribery/incentive portion that makes it a big deal from a legal standpoint.
