Kwesi Presser Notes
I was listening. He said he was meant to be here. He said he taught financial literacy to players in San Francisco. I like how he addressed being cut from the basketball team in high school. Then he grew 7 inches and tried again in college. He comes across as very thoughtful and thorough. He wants to see all perspectives and he is endlessly curious. He wants to figure things out, problem solve and know the whys and hows behind things. He does his homework. His answers are well-thought out. He is very analytical and approachable. Larry Fitzgerald asked him about Bill Walsh and KAM described him as thoughtful and intentional which is what he strives to be.
Adofo-Mensah, talking about the interview process: “I really do believe I was meant to be your general manager. It was meant to be.”

For what it's worth, Adofo-Mensah's answers so far have been really impressive to me.

Kwesi Adofo-Mensah absolutely knocked that press conference out of the park. He gave thoughtful, insightful answers to every single question and laid out his vision for this franchise over 40 minutes. And you have to appreciate his wry sense of humor.

I typically don't listen to pressers. This one I did. I was spellbound, captivated, impressed. Humble. Intelligent. Insightful.
This man would succeed in any the puts his mind to.
A new wave of energy and acceptance is coming to Minnesota. These players will fight for a GM like this.
That's what he says he relies on now when he sees problems...he thinks of his mom, rolls
"People strongly believe he will make an immediate positive impact and has a high ceiling for this organization, the Minnesota Vikings, to evolve and grow." - #Vikings Owner/President Mark Wilf on GM Kwesi Adofo-Mensah pic.twitter.com/YF3AVIqZ5A

-Ownership
-Talented roster
-Incredible facilities
-Passionate fans
“We know the destination.”
It's like watching my secret #Vikings fan fiction come to life
lmao, what did I tell you about the young sports media? They were going to LOVE this selection. And they love him because he's more like THEM and not like traditional football personnel and management. They have their biases and its showing here with this over the top warm reception for Kwesi.

He really is riveting. He draws you in. He listened to the reporters and gave in depth answers. He is really purposeful. He comes across as sincere. No bs. He is not trying to be slick. He is open and honest about what he knows and what he doesn't as well as being open to learning more. He expresses his thoughts and ideas in such a way that reels you in. I can see why so many people have such positive things to say about him.
@"JustinTime18™" said:I would be surprised if his initial interview didn't include his vision for the Vikings future, including potential head coaching candidates as well as how to deal with the Cousins contract. In fact, I would think they have their head coach in their sites already and will be hiring him once he is done with the playoffs or superbowl!Mark Wilf said that KAM has already been "deeply involved in conversations about the head coach". Adofo-Mensah said he's "going to dive into this head coaching search" and has already had initial conversations about that.
@"jargomcfargo" said:This is my thinking as well. I could see Kwesi laying out a plan since he seems to be very detail-oriented. He did his homework and presented a strong case for himself. He probably gave some great ideas that stood out. He seems to be very confident and determined.@"JustinTime18™" said:I would be surprised if his initial interview didn't include his vision for the Vikings future, including potential head coaching candidates as well as how to deal with the Cousins contract.
