Kirk to SF tomorrow, work it out
The INT by The Capt'n was pretty bad.
I dont put this loss at KC's feet, not this one anyways. Help me find Zimmer so I can leave it there.
Jimmy G got benched today! He is also injury prone. I would guess Shanahan is ready to swap QBs. Spielman's phone might actually ring tomorrow. The deal would probably mean the Vikings would need to take Jimmy G and his big contract.
Yah, I dont know KC contract vs JG? I dont know if SF would see a big benefit in that trade lol!
You know, SF might not finish more than .500 this year. They could be picking 14, 15...
Yeah I have to think about that one. I don't know. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
Sure, start Mannion. I can find other things to do on Sunday.

KC doesn't pass the eye test. He lacking an internal intangible
Fans want a rabid, demonstrative competitor at QB and they aren't all wound that way. Leadership can take different forms. I just think in today's NFL, you need a guy that can get a 1st down or extend drives with his legs as one of his attributes. Its such a great option and demoralizing to a defense. That isn't Cousins.
I'm convinced we're going nowhere with Kirk at QB. I'm all about drafting a QB in the 1st this coming year. We aren't going to be lucky enough for it to be Trevor but only one team gets to be that lucky.
Whats interesting on the QB front....
Look at how many QBs were thought to be their team's savior over the past few years to flop or at least regress significantly lately.

Cousins to 49ers, Jimmy G to Panthers and Teddy back home to Minnesota in a three way deal that also yields the Vikings a second round pick. Block buster trade time!
@"StickyBun" said:I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think Sam Darnold is a good QB. He has arguably the worst coach in the NFL and perhaps the worst supporting cast. I think Sam would do well in Minny@"AGRforever" said:Whats interesting on the QB front.... Did we just join the NBA??
Shanahan doesn't want Cousins - he didn't pursue him when he knew he might be a FA or could have swung a deal for him with Washington. He knows his flaws.
Why does any team want Cousins after seeing his errors last night and this entire season? For that matter, why would the Panthers want Garrapolo after he was benched? Biggest question - why would the Panters give up on Bridgewater after he had a 300-yard 2 TD game yesterday and they're 3-2??
So the Vikings somehow get a younger, better QB (who also still gives Zimmer and some section of this fanbase a burst of Viagra), and an extra draft pick??
How??

I dont think KC is a bad qb and I'd still contend he's the best we've had since Favre. If Bradford's body didnt give up on him, he'd probably still be here. Both of em got good arms
I just dont like the offensive scheme the Vikings run anymore and it's tailored to KC - which is the right thing for that staff to do.
This is not a video game, Kirk cannot be traded during the season, you cannot just take the "cap hit"
"Hey Darnold" was never that impressive and drafted out of potential and need. Typical underdeveloped/overhyped west coast college QB of the last...ummm...

Spend the next few drafts rebuilding the OL and DL and we are off!

Cousins had already proven himself to some extent, its why Minnesota went after him. It was a pretty good team trying to get to the elite level. Sam Darnold is only 23 years old....Daniel Jones the same. If the teams are truly interested in moving on from them and they draft a QB high in next Spring's draft, you could get either relatively inexpensively. Is a 23 year old really a cast off or band aid at the QB spot in the NFL? IMO, it would be worth a shot, especially since they can sit behind Kirk until his contract becomes not so cap hellish for releasing him. I think it could be an option.Yes, I'd prefer and LOVE to draft a QB and let him sit behind Kirk as you mention. Draft OL and DL, absolutely. My concern is the Vikings are going to end up winning enough to put them out of that probability for the top 3 QBs (Lawrence, Fields or Lance). Its a big drop-off to the next tier. And they really don't have the draft capital to move up without that #2 pick.
