Wow....

Yeah, DIA is never that empty. My goodness, this thing has really gotten ahold of people. But I suspect that it's going to make a far bigger dent in the global economy than the global population.

What changes have you made? Personally, I have tickets to fly to San Francisco with my kids to see my brother in a couple of weeks. And, so far anyway, I plan to go. But I have to say I'm a little nervous about it, especially with my kids. Not as much about the virus as how people are panicking about it. A flight yesterday was rerouted to Denver because someone, um...sneezed. And I am narrowing in on some ridiculously priced tickets to Cancun in May. Am I crazy?

This thread can be about sharing information helpful to all to keep up on this illness and fact and untruths associated with it,  or it can be a useless pile of political crap,  if people want to make it the later the whole thread will go away.

No more warnings,  political talk on this forum will have the poster blocked from the thread and repeated infractions will result in removal from the board.

I think his comments on the precautions not being for us,  but more for our parents and grandparents needs to be beat into peoples heads.  I got so pissed this week hearing Jack wagon's say it's no big deal unless you are an older person,  I just asked them no big deal except for 15% of the population right?

Should be a law against hoarding and profiteering during times like this.  I want to kick people like that right square in the nuts.  Not only do they cause a lot of people to go without necessary health supplies,  but the artificial  shortages that they create only feed the public panic that drives their profits.

I live in rural downstate Illinois. A 70 year old man that lives 10 miles from me tested positive today. All events in the county are cancelled. Grocery store and Walmart store shelves are bare. All schools in Illinois are shut down for 2 weeks. Lots of restaurants are stepping up and offering free lunches to school age kids.

There's a special place in hell for these people.  A time in our history need people to support one another and we see people who exploit the situation for personal gain.  Shameless.

Americans really need to take this social distancing seriously. Hunker down people. State/Local Govt's need to get a lot more directive.

We have to stop the arc so it looks like So Korea's, not Italy's. That time is RIGHT NOW.

I read where Target, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS and other giants will be testing you right from the car as they set-up parking lot areas to do so. No going inside. We should have had this ready weeks ago.

I work part time retail after I had retired from a 30 year marketing research career. The # of dumb asz's that still want to shake hands is mind boggling.

Everyone be safe and well...Dont watch too much coverage of this shit.

April is almost here...

This post is on point. Without taking social distancing seriously this will overwhelm the health care system rapidly. Social distancing needs to start RIGHT NOW, like Purplefaithful said.
And don't think that this virus will only seriously effect the elderly and those with preexisting conditions.
This is a time for each of us to take steps to help protect our fellow humans.
I don't normal post about health issues on a football forum, but I am a retired family practice doctor. And the above post is one of the best I have seen so far.

Went out yesterday to Delray Beach with friends to day drink as its the official St. Patrick's Day Parade day (it was cancelled) and had a guy at a bar tell me the whole thing is a democratic hoax. He was serious. Its mind blowing that people can be this stupid. We weren't talking politics or anything, he just threw it out there. SMFH.

I'm no longer saddened or surprised...Darwinism always prevails.

The reality in this country is that we are very blind right now.

The # of tests being done per capita in the USA is significantly below other countries. It was 70x greater in So Korea.

Leadership in Washington did not have the country ready. Now its a DEFCON 4 scramble. We dont know if the actual # of cases is 10x or 100x vs what the testing to-date is showing.

Thats a bad thing.

Yeah read this. 25 new cases reported yesterday. It still seems to be growing. With highs in the mid to upper 80°s down here warmer weather doesn't seem to be the fix that was hoped for.

Agreed...

My kid was thinking about flying home to MN from LA as the universities shut-down. My response is gong to have to be not now -- For their safety too..

There's a new species of fact resistant humans. To be honest, it shouldn't be mind blowing any more. Dangerously stupid is the new normal. I mentioned on Facebook that Fox news had been under reporting the coronavirus.

Nature finds a way.
