I had to file a DEI plan as part of my company's most recent GSA contract.  The EEOC is untouched.  The article conflated the role of the two organizations to make it boo scary.  The EEOC will continue to do racial investigations in the workplace. As you have said repeatedly, facts matter.

Btw..I tried to find info on the actual discrimination case.  Maybe it's just the world we live in but the BS alarms usually come out when a noose is involved ala Smullett, Bubba Wallace, and a number of lower profile cases where people were found to have planted the nooses themselves.

Well, in Bubba Wallace's case, the noose was found to have been left on the garage door (at the track, not his home) previously...but, no one noticed until then. As Bubba doesn't go to much trouble to scream about being the sole Black driver at the Cup level, I saw no reason to doubt the overall findings. Naturally, orange boi called him stupid and ignorant crap.

Again, on brand...and people think that level of petulance needed re-electing. Amazing.
Wait, we failed to protect our QB in big games, again?

Really?  That's the part you respond to.  You made references to DOGE cutting an agency behind a discrimination suit at Tesla in two different threads.  You even posted the article...which actually disproved the point.  You're always the first to call out one of the other posters if they post and defend utter nonsense in the strongest terms.  Yet the same standard of truthfulness and accuracy doesn't apply to you?  It's not all that hard to do a "yea...I guess that was wrong...sorry..lol" instead of doubling down.

As I said above, the noose thing raises my bs alarms.  We've had a lot of noose incidents that turned out to be (k)not.  The mini nooses on the table...that turned out to be remnants of a fisherman practicing knot tying at lunch.  The noose found at a rally...that turned out to be...a rope (I guess you could characterize that a DUI noose).  The mini nooses hanging from trees that were left over from Christmas tree decorations, etc.  We also had reported nooses hanging that turned out to be hoaxes.

The Bubba Wallace thing...should have been handled quietly and discreetly without the need to elevate first and ask questions later.  There were a lot of accusations before the noose was found to be just a door pull.  And btw...Wallace is kind of a dick regardless of his race.

We can disagree on "disproven".

I went with the most "neutral" link I could find, because the Reynolds Wrap Collective will spit and hiss at anything vaguely left-leaning, and most of the stories were from that side...because it's not like "news" right of center seems to tell on the sunkist savior, do they?

"The Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs enforced equal employment laws for federal contractors. The office’s employees now have little to do besides notifying companies that they will no longer be audited for potential discrimination — and, in some cases, that they won’t have to pay outstanding fines.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which operates under a different department, sued Tesla in September 2023 for “widespread and ongoing racial harassment of its Black employees.” That case is ongoing even as Tesla’s board promised to end discrimination at company sites.

Tesla — and its Fremont factory in particular — was among a group of Bay Area companies that were to be audited by the OFCCP in 2024. That investigation was still underway, and findings had not been made public, when the office was shut down."

There are others, and I actually mentioned in a thread awhile back that's it's MASSIVE conflict of interest to have a guy with federal contracts (and who's unelected, unvetted, and armed with a pack of adolescents!?!?) suddenly have oversight largely eliminated. He's been as bad about accountability as the liar-in-chief, and now is basically only accountable to the modern exhibit A of "unaccountable".

If this doesn't concern people...those blinders must be THICK.

But, that's okay...ELON will judge if he's in a conflict of interest!

https://fortune.com/2025/02/06/elon-musk...la-spacex/

"Musk, the CEO of Tesla and founder of SpaceX, and his team are riffling through government contracts and federal spending plans, axing those he suspects aren’t benefiting the American people.

The only problem is that Musk and his empire of businesses are significant government contractors—estimated to have won around $15.4 billion in work over the past decade."

So, no, badger, I don't agree with you. Yes, the suit got settled from one direction, but the investigation was continuing...and only VIP's Rich Boy can decide if he, himself, is in conflict.

SNL doesn't write skits this obvious, for fuggsakes.
