Casual Gameday Observations

Just because they expect their running back to throw passes doesn't mean he can be in on every down. You get worn out carrying the rock too much!

Another observation-- If Love can stay on the field, Green Bay isn't going away this year. They continue to win unimpressively, but it still counts. If Detroit and GB face off in the playoffs I would not be shocked if GB wins ugly.

NFCN looks loaded this year in a way that I don't really remember seeing. Certainly not recently.

Well...Love is a good qb and LaFleur is a good coach

I heard the MRI on Love today was that he just needs some rest, not a long-term thing.

lol, I like bullet points to succinctly relay thoughts. Easy to read.

The NFL is such an unpredictable animal week to week.

I agree, Green Bay is resilient.

I've thought Burrow was wildly overhyped, still do. I think most of that bunch of "kids" (showing my middle age, here) that got $50Million+ per season were and are overhyped, possibly excepting Mahomes...and actually, I'll throw him on the pile as well. He's doing very well in a very good system with a very good coach who's keeping some important pieces on the roster.

I've come to that point about Burrow as well. I love his swag, I think he's a very good NFL QB, but he gets injured a lot. And he plays to his image a ton. The 'Joe Cool' act is a bit contrived and is starting to grind my gears.

Burrow is a classic case of what is wrong with the media and the fans, they are so quick to crown a kid in a mans game. Its already happening with JJM and he hasnt taken a single meaningful snap for the Vikings, but so many are all but assuring anyone that will listen that our search is over. I like a lot about the kid, but I am not going to assume he is anything until year 3 or 4 for him, just to many variable and pressure on these kids when really they are just kids playing a game.

I just want the kid to be able to go to work and not feel like reversing 50+ years of franchise futility is falling squarely on his shoulders. He doesnt walk on water, nor can he turn it into wine ( although my wife would be surely wanting his jersey if he could) I think the media and fans need to temper the expectations a bit, he is just a kid who will likely follow very similar learning paths as so many other young QBs, and patience will be key so as not to fuck him up mentally. (remember the shit fans were talking about Ponder and throwing at his wife)
