ICE SHOOTING
#1
Interesting that there is no discussion on this one.  Is this a matter of respect for our fellow posters that we acknowledge that there will be a disagreement as to blame?  I would really like to think this is the case for the sake of our board.

I doubt that is the case though so please be civil as the fucking media and politicians ratchet up the mis information and rhetoric in order to keep our brothers and sisters at odds.

I’m so tired of people pushing back against the police. If they tell you to stop, you stop, no questions asked.  I don’t think she was necessarily trying to run the ICE Agrnt over, but her getting away was more important at that time than the concern she would severely injure an officer. Slow motion replay definitely shows her gunning the car while aimed directly (the wheels spun) at the agent and then also hitting the agent which justified his reaction. She paid a big price for a dumb decision.  It’s too bad on many fronts.  The leaders of the Democrat party are the true murderers here, the same as with Charlie Kirk. The beginning of this video demonstrates pretty clearly she was gunning the car directly at the officer. I think she just stupidly didn't consider that action could kill someone.

Jimmy, we dont see eye:eye on this, but I appreciate the spirit with which you opened the thread

I dont think many believe she was anything but scared and trying to get away. Many dont know (yet) that she was the widow of a military veteran who suffered with PTSD, a mother, a christian a poet and an artist. I told my wife I wish she would have just gotten out of the car - for her children's sake.

We're a resilient group up here in MN; add this to the heap of the 35w bridge collapse, Floyd, Hortmans, Annunciation and more...We will respectfully remember and honor those we lost and we'll overcome in our state wide grief.

Over $1mm has been raised so far on her survivors behalf. Sadly, no amount of $$ will take the place of these children losing their mother.

We have ZERO expectations of anything to come from the Feds investigation, one that the Feds wont partner on with the state BCA...

I'm not the smartest person in the world, but I am experienced. There will be a heavy political price to pay for the political theatre/thumping DC is taking to progressive states. Just a matter of when.

Peace out all...

Time for me to dust off a golden oldie that is sadly relevant again in 2026 for many in our country.

I dont know that I would call what has been taking place in MN the last couple decades as "Progressive"  that term seems to imply successfully moving forward,  I dont see the direction of MN good for many native Minnesotans,  if it were your "progressive" governor wouldnt be fleeing to a conservative state for his retirement years.

as far as the deceased,  she may be a good person,  or this may be the media sugar coat just like george flloyd all over again.  either way she was not an innocent vicitm,  those agents had a job to do and she was interfering with them doing their work.  we will have to agree to disagree on how to perceive her reaction to  a lawful order and nearly taking out a federal law enforcement officer.

I tend to think this video is more appropriate,  it applies to much more than just black people.
