Vikings bringing back Laquon Treadwell to replace injured Chad Beebe
The Vikings will re-sign wide receiver Laquon Treadwell to replace an injured Chad Beebe, a source said Tuesday.  Beebe suffered an ankle injury in Sunday’s 34-14 win over the Oakland Raiders. A source said an MRI revealed he has torn ligaments, and it is uncertain how long he will be out.  Treadwell rejoins the Vikings after being waived on Aug. 31. He underachieved after being taken with the No. 23 pick in the 2016 NFL draft, and had just 56 catches in his first three seasons.  However, Treadwell knows the system and could fit right back in with the Vikings, who are short at wide receiver. The only other healthy receivers on the roster are starters Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs and rookie Bisi Johnson.  Treadwell is expected to be in uniform for Sunday’s game at Chicago. He is a native of Crete, Ill., a Chicago suburb.

Beebe hasn't been much better then Treadwell. Move makes sense but still. Sigh. It'd be awesome and a great story to see  Tready play well.

Maybe Tready is a better downfield run blocker which is what they really need in this offense.

Give Bisi some playing time. This move makes some sense if you are looking for a blocker at the WR position. Otherwise I don't understand it. Even if he knows the system, he doesn't produce.

Welcome back, Tready.  I'm not sure how much playing time he sees, but as a 4th receiver, why not?  I wonder if he's cut again when/if Doctson returns.

What an "amazing" group of first round receivers from 2016!  Now we have TWO of them! :p   Coleman and Doctson on their second team already and can't stay healthy - both on IR now.  Fuller has missed a third of possible games due to injuries... and Treadwell...  We know what he's been.

My hope is that after having been released maybe something clicks and he does well.   Not to likely but would be a great story.

Honestly, it's probably the best move they can make. He knows the offense and is a very good downfield blocker. And it's not like Antonio Brown is out...er...wait...Deandre Hopkins is out there waiting to be signed.

where has Bisi JOhnson been since TC?  I figured he would be a bit more involved than we have seen to date.

Hell his salary was already guaranteed, won’t cost anything or affect the cap...

Kinda my thoughts as well.  But I guess Irv Smith has been getting more looks, so who cares about the #3 WR.

which was kind of my comments all camp when people were having shit fits about who was going to be the #3.... in a Kubiak style offense,  it really doesnt matter as long as 1 and 2 stay healthy.

Was just thinking about that wondering who that was that pointed out our TEs would be the #3 WR.
