Fromm Jacob, With Love
Ya boy on the tube...got it taping...
Honestly, not positive where Fromm will go...first to second seems right...
@"BarrNone55" said:Yep, he did look pedestrian. I'm going to be very interested come next April to see how the QBs will be ranked for the Draft.Washington redshirt junior QB Jacob Eason completed 16-of-26 passes for 180 yards in Saturday's 28-14 win over USC.This could have been a great game for Eason to set himself apart as an NFL draft prospect. Alas, Eason (6'6/227) got off to a nice start before stalling out for most for the second half. The first-year Huskies starter did well to facilitate and keep the offense on the field, but he hardly did much to ignite the offense the way he has shown he can. Next's week night game at Stanford is a good chance for Eason to rebound. He looked as pedestrian as the numbers would indicate...definitely was the arm talent...the kid from Ohio State might just give Lawerence a run for the money in 2021...
Assuming the current brain trust is still in place, this stat will really carry a lot of weight...

Fromm (6'2"/220) has thrown 111 passes and carried the ball six times through five games. Only having one turnover-worthy play on nearly 120 plays is stunning. Even against poor competition, QBs tend to make one or two questionable throws into coverage per game, but Fromm is near perfect in avoiding risk while still maximizing efficiency and production. The Bulldogs will take on South Carolina on Saturday.SOURCE: PFF College on TwitterAssuming the current brain trust is still in place, this stat will really carry a lot of weight...
Nearly perfect in avoiding risk...that seals it, Zimmer has now got QB wood.
Yup, Fromm is the Weird Science QB dream girl of Zim's prepubescent fantasy...
I think Fromm goes top 10, so we'd have to move up to get him. I'm very okay with that, if he's the guy they want. I do wish he had a bigger arm.
I seriously have no idea where he'll go...top ten seems steep...mid first to mid second seems right...but I have zero faith in that...the last QB prospect I looked at was Ponder and I thought the third was right...then we traded that third for Moss and I was pissed we'd have to spend a second on him...
Some mocks have him anywhere from before we pick to outside the first...my guess is he will look pedestrian at the Combine but blow people away in the interview and board sessions...
Georgia on ESPN at noon est Saturday. Iowa game and OSU later in the day. There's a couple more QBs worth watching.
The bulk of Fromm's throws today have been to the sideline...pinpoint accuracy and on time...he doesn't have a cannon but those arm strength questions are being answered IMO...just threw a dart dropping down to sidearm slot...
After today, questions of arm strength can be put to rest IMO. Deep ball accuracy has not been good today. Deep seam ball. Ball to the sideline from the opposite hash. Movement in the pocket. He'll be gone by the time we pick.

Kind of shaky forcing some balls and the lack of zip if he throws late.
That 98 yard drive to tie showed e everything you want including ability to make plays with his legs...he looks like the real deal to me.
The guy that continues to look good and has made a big jump from last year is LSU's Joe Burrow. Nice size at 6'4", 220 lbs strong and athletic. Was going to go to Ohio State originally, so the kid is a great prospect. Nice arm. And he's a tough SOB. He plays with confidence now.

Beat me to it...watched a bit last night...he definitely has next level arm talent...

Burrow and Kinlaw on the Stock Up report...
Brutal loss by Georgia to a 21 pt underdog...
Jake Fromm entered the week as one of the top 10 candidates to win the Heisman Trophy, but you can throw that out the window after he fumbled once inside the South Carolina 30 and threw three interceptions—each one to Israel Mukuamu, including a pick-six late in the second quarter.
In moments you might expect one of the top prospects in the 2020 NFL draft class to play with poise and confidence, Fromm was as shaken as a James Bond martini.

Oh boy...not a great game, but do shaken QBs drive their team 98 yards to tie the game?
No.

But its against a 21 underdog opponent. That's the problem. He was part of the problem, not the solution.
Lots of issues with QBs other than Tua and Herbert.
