Guess defense still wins championships
One of the most BORING, UNWATCHABLE Super Bowl's I've seen in a looooong time. Glad you guys enjoyed it.
Terrible SB Sunday.....the game sucked (really NO drama or sense of doubt), the Glamour Team won (again), the commercials sucked and the halftime show REALLY sucked.
And the Viking's FO sucks, too, so I can't even look forward to the draft. Yikes!
At least spring training starts soon....
I am glad that it was a defensive battle, probably pissed Vegas off though. Oh well.
I felt like I was watching The Steelers vs Vikings @ Tulane Stadium all over again,
Not sure if that's good or bad - but I was bored as a casual fan of this match-up.
Ironic to have the game go down like that with the way the NFL has been heading offensively.
Vegas must have eaten it. I'm sure the Aint's fans were happy.

I think it was fitting with the way they have been hyping the offense on steroids type of game.

I dunno guys / gals, every year I get deeper and deeper into a funk over the Vikings.
I just don't know that I'll live long enough to see us win it all.
Had to endure historically pathetic teams like the Bucs, Saints, Seahawks win a SuperBowl.
If God blesses me with another fifteen to twenty years of life, unless we see a dramatic turnaround, I may not get there with you all. This "lose and NFCC every ten years" crap
is getting damn old. Just like me

I was thinking this very same thing several times during the game. Kind of sloppy looking, but it was the defenses just making great plays.
Hard to imagine the Rams getting shutdown the way they did. Gotta tip my hat to the Pats. They're unbelievablly great, still.
The league needs to change some reals and get more offense in the 2019 season! The game is going to obsolete if this keeps up.
Payton and Brees would have given Bill more of a challenge me thinks than young Goff and McVay.

Oh, I don't know about that. I hear tell these young, offensive geniuses are the future. These old "game-has-passed-them-by" defensive dinosaurs are yesterday's news. ;)
In all seriousness, Kamara would have. Gurley is still injured (whether McVay will admit it or not) and Anderson is no longer an every down back.

Brees' experience might have been a difference maker. Goffs in-experience was painfully on display.

I hear yah...When the ride is no longer fun you gotta move to being a casual fan.
Tough after being in a CG, expectations sky-hi and then a clunker of a 2018 campaign.
Problem with the Vikings is most years they're good enough to suck you in and give you hope lol!

Yeah, the "young offensive genius" angle was one of my first thoughts after the game. All season, and especially since coach searches began, we've been hearing that "every team wants to find the closest thing to Sean McVay to have a great offense". Are some owners or GMs waking up this morning thinking, "Did I really bet the franchise on imitating a coach who generated 3 points in a Super Bowl??"
what strikes me is our miserable offense hung 31 on that rams defense in their own stadium, and the worlds greatest QB, coached by the worlds greatest coach, could only muster 13 points in a neutral site.

The game was not as close as the score, reflected.
I think Bill wanted to keep it close, so the Rams were not forced to go all out, catch up mode, and possibly switch the momentum.
Not saying he purposely missed a FG and called for an INT. It just ended that way, and he went with the, let them think they have
a chance if they stick to their game plan.
Rams gave up 30 or more 7 times in regular season. Teams were just playing catch up most of those games.
What strikes me is our great #4 D allowed the Rams 38, and the 21st Pats held them to 3!!!
