Hearing Rumblings of more bad news - Everson

This is the type of situation where we are going to need to find out what's really going on. I love sports rumors as far as trades, firings, etc., but this is real-life stuff and speculating on that isn't fair.

Thoughts on Everson rumors?

Maybe he went fishing with BRob and got jealous cause BRob caught more fish so he took a fishing trophy? (joke).

Man, flipping through his twitter feed... I just hope for the best. He's an incredible dude.
I've read (on reddit, lol, obviously just speculation) the team hotel was involved, police we're probably involved (but there is no official report yet), and that drugs and/or violence were involved. That's internet grain of salt gossip, but that's what i've noticed reading around.
I can't help but speculate myself by reducing it - I wonder if he was physically subdued/restrained/arrested at the team hotel - where while the charges or allegations were petty - he was simply drunk (witness spread "he was on something" - turns into cocaine on reddit) - and then it escalated to a police altercation and a physical arrest in front of the team at the hotel... I could imagine a situation where if EG did not want to be arrested it take a small task force to do it... and if it was something petty enough, perhaps the police wouldn't be excited to talk about it and confirm the pointed speculation that he was arrested at the team hotel?
Hmmm....I have no idea what this might be about, but it would be hard to believe that Griffen got into some sort of trouble involving violence. By all accounts he's turned his life around from when he was in college and has become a sort of spokesman in the NFL for how to clean up one's life. I hope it's not some sort of scuffle with a teammate. I mean who else is at the hotel but teammates? I know it happens, but typically white collar Joes don't pick fights with 6-3, 273 lb athletes.

Are players staying at a "team hotel" prior to a home game? Or would it be ok to assume this happened in Green Bay the previous week?
Some people are posting stories modified. They are taking his old issues and reposting them as new issues and modifying the post to make it look recent. Be careful with what you are looking at.

yes, they have stayed in a team hotel prior to home games for as long as I can recall.

So did this happen Saturday night or in Green Bay? If Saturday, it could certainly be the reason we looked like absolute crap.

There wasn't a lot of chatter about it across Reddit (I assumed that was the "skol board" mentioned here earlier in the this thread), just a couple posts that seemed to be echoing different "sources."
It seems like "police involvement" and "team hotel" chatter came from a couple different official sources - the drugs/violence stuff seemed like it came from one poster originally (who kinda one liner-ed it without much detail) and a few people started posting about and around it as fact. A News Station Twitter put out a statement talking about there not being a police report available - which just, for whatever reason, seems oddly worded taking in the conflicting rumors...
Zimmers quote about it, the teams performance... i'm half expecting to hear Griffen is locked up and dealing with something that police are trying to get their ducks in order before making a statement or release a arrest record...
the other half of me expects to hear the elevator door closed on his arm and this is all a bunch of nonsense... but that isn't a "legal issue" as implied unless we're talking about suing the Hotel... ... obviously im just bs-ing here... I want some more info on whats going on though. Griffen has easily been one of my favorite dudes on the team. Awesome personality, his twitter feed has him involved in all kinds of good stuff.... 2018 has me all kinds of impatient.

no idea... I am guessing that Griff organized an all night drinking party at a local strip club for the cool players, the rest of them were home in bed, but they werent good enough to prevent the ass whooping.

If he was in jail or arrested that would be public by now. It's more likely really something personal and not legal at all. At least I hope so.

I would tend to agree with you. Not only would an arrest be public by now, there would definitely be a video on Twitter by now. The fact that so few know anything I get the sense this is something the team is keeping under wraps for now.

Did it involve boats and/or superbowl tickets?

Yeah, hopefully it's nothing that impacts the team, or tarnishes his reputation as one of the leaders of the team. Such a good player with a damn near picture-perfect family.
