Just saw an update from Adam Schefter, its agreed to. Diggs will sign it this morning.
Looks to be about $14 million per season range, about the going rate.
AWESOME NEWS!!!
Captain Kirk might be just as happy as Diggs right now...
Diggs is just 24 years old and figures to have a bright future considering he has been a steady source of production with the speed to burn cornerbacks deep and the shiftiness to catch passes underneath and make defenders miss.
Diggs' value was plenty high after he hauled in a game-winning 61-yard touchdown catch in a divisional-round victory over the New Orleans Saintson the final play of the contest. It was a miraculous moment for the Vikings that underscored his ability to change a game with one explosive play.
The Vikings ensured he will be making those plays for them in the foreseeable future as they look to compete in the NFC North for years to come.
With Diggs and Adam Thielen in the fold, the Vikes will provide newly signed quarterback Kirk Cousins with one of the NFL's top duos at wide receiver.
Thielen & Diggs...
Best WR's here since 3 Deep in 98
so obvious this was going to happen before the season. you dont invest in highest paid QB in league then let most dynamic weapon walk away. anyone thinking otherwise wasnt thinking clearly.
im excited. diggs will only get better
@"AGRforever" said: now do we keep waynes or barr?I think Barr is still very important to this team. I'm hoping something gets worked out there. Waynes might be allowed to hit the market. Which means this will be his breakout season. Great question indeed.

That would be $84mm...
A familiar sounding #.
Vikings keeping Stefon Diggs in fold through 2023 seasonDiggs, coming off a career year in which he led all receivers in contested catch rate (64.5 percent), has steadily climbed the ranks and earned his place among the league's top wide receivers.
According to ESPN Stats & Information, Diggs has caught 71.8 percent of the passes thrown to him over the past two seasons, which ranks second in the NFL among receivers with at least 200 targets.
"I love being here," Diggs said earlier this offseason. "... I love playing with the Vikings. I started here, and I've been happy all my time here. I love my teammates, I love my staff. There's no place I'd rather be than here."

Diggs is only 24 years old. His body has filled out and he's stronger. Nice speed and great big hands. Route runner extraordinaire. Hard worker. Talented. Not sure what else we could want.

Love it! Brez is earning his salary by locking up our young core players and fitting all these big contracts under the cap.
BOOM
The deal also raises the question of how the Vikings will approach Adam Thielen in years to come. Thielen signed a three-year extension before last season that included $11 million in guaranteed money, but the deal is well below market value for a player who earned second-team All-Pro honors after catching 91 passes for 1,276 yards last season.
Thielen’s contract expires after the 2020 season, though the Vikings could look to rework it before then.

Good news! Looks like the Vikings are doing this in the right order. I might actually wait now to see how the season plays out before signing Barr. If Sheldon Richardson blows up, he might be a better investment. I get the whole "homegrown talent" thing, but for me it's a SLB vs. 3T thing, and that's an easy decision.

I would say Adams contract becomes an issue before the 2020 season. Yes he is under paid based on 2017, but would he have given money back if he hadnt performed at a high level? Thats part of the process, teams will overpay compared to past performance, and rising players get paid in part on future potential, but get the guarantees now without earning them. Adam always had the right to let his last deal play out and opt for FA, but he chose the guaranteed route and should live up to its terms.
