OTA news ...
Yeah, it looks like with Elflein out... our starting unit is Reiff, Isidora, Easton, Compton, and Remmers. It will be interesting to see how it shuffles around once Pat is back in action.

Is Easton practicing? Thought he would be held out as well.
I really hope Hill or Collins can beat out Remmers at RT.

Interestingly enough
Zimmer: Rashod Hill was banged up this week so we put Remmers at right
tackle. We might move him to guard next week. Vikings remaining open to
O-like configuration.

So, can it be assumed this is a contract thing?
If so, I'm not surprised. I think Barr thinks he's the second coming of Von Miller. He is not. Maybe he's a little miffed that Kendricks got a new deal before he did...or maybe I'm just chucking a handful of @&%# at the wall to see what sticks...

Chuck away. Nothing you said sounds all that unstickable.

makes me think Compton is RG unless Hill beats out Remmers

The sooner you accept it the better you'll feel. :-) And, hey, the rest of the draft is very good.O'Neill is a project, but I expect him to start next year. He'll probably need a full two years to be where he needs to be, but his athleticism will make up for a lot. His athleticism will probably get him on the field in '19.

I assume it’s contract related.

That's the way it is with OL these days. Not many of them can start right away- because the college game is so different... and because knowing your teammates is half of the battle.

So basically somebody who is currently playing better than O'Neil will get cut because O'Neil was a 2nd round pick. And there is no place to put him unless he gets injured.

He probably wants to get ahead of Diggs and Hunter while there's money still on the books.

Probably. But I also think he's 3rd on that list. You don't give a QB 84M guaranteed and then take away one of his best weapons. Pass rushers like Hunter are gold, especially considering the age of Robison and Griffen. He's not going anywhere.I love Anthony Barr, my son has his jersey, but I think he plays a position that is easier replaced than a star receiver and a pass rusher. Not sure what the Vikings are going to do with this one, but I fear this contract thing could turn into a year of pouting and half effort.
