This is Hundley's 3rd year in McCarthy's system?

His draft profile below looks pretty spot on, especially regarding his weaknesses.  And it doesn't look like the Packers coaches have developed him in the least over the past 2.5 years.  It's surprising that the Packers would go from such a cerebral QB like Rodgers, to drafting someone who "can't read coverages and struggles to process" and "appears to be lacking in ability to read defenses and create a pre-snap plan".

Good sense of pocket pressure and is decisive when he decides to bolt. Dangerous as a runner with enough speed to hit a big play on the ground. Dual-threat ability increases his effectiveness in red zone. Displays his toughness almost every time out.WEAKNESSES Hasn't shown an ability to win from the pocket yet. Protected by playaction-based short passing game that held linebackers and cornerbacks at bay. Internal clock is a mess. Hundley looks awful...  which I'm rather enjoying because I've heard numerous Packer fans stating that he could start for half the teams in the league based upon his preseason performances the past couple years.

Nope. That would require reflection and awareness. Is there any indication that they have these traits? All I am seeing is straight up denial and utter stubbornness. They are getting in their own way and I am alright with that. 

I think they are tanking the season.  rogers is 33 going to be 34 in a month,  if they get a good pick they can take his replacement in this draft and basically hope to roll the same way they did with favre,  ride rogers another 3 years or so and then insert new guy on a relatively cheap contract extension as your franchise guy for the next 10+ years.

Oh I hope they waste a pick on QB, Rodgers is far from being done.  Not getting him a real RB, or helping that terrible defense benefits Minnesota.

Not everyone can have a defense like Zimmer's ;)

An excellent post!  And one I've been thinking about for the last several years.  The Dom Capers' D has run its course and has been exposed.  Their best D was outscoring their opponents in the first half and making them one dimensional.  I think I only heard Fabio Matthews name called once and that was for an encroachment penalty.
It's amazing how the loss of one player...albeit the "face of the NFL"...has exposed the Pukers for what they truly are...Cleveland with uglier uniforms.
