He looks like hot garbage. No pocket presence. Escapes the pocket when he doesn't have to. He had time to throw. I've heard ridiculous kudos from Packer fans in the past that this guy could start for other teams.

Bottom line: nobody has a damn clue how anyone will look until they play when the show is live and the game is real. He's not a rookie, he should be showing better than this.

Multiple years in Green Bay, a bye week to prepare, and Brett Hundley missed a layup here #Packers

I read a couple articles last spring about how the Packers could deal him for picks and multiple teams were talking about a 2nd-3rd for him...pure BS. But the scouting report on him coming out of college was essentially that he couldn't read defenses and make good choices despite plenty of physical talent - still the case.

And McCarthy will be dealing with Kaepernick questions nonstop, hahahaha...

The Packers finally get back their starting offensive line healthy (although Bulaga's injury during the game looked serious) and their QB is putrid. I actually think if they had a workable QB they'd possibly be at 8 wins. No way with Hundley.

p.s. I was following remarks on Twitter as this game started. First drive, the national sports media yakked non-stop about how good the Packer offense looked and McCarthy is a genius. LOL. The hyperbole with today's media is just so dumb.

Something tells me AR isn't the best teammate as far as helping the other qbs develop.

Anyone ever tells me players don't make the coaches in the NFL again? I'll tell em to look @ McCarthy's record without Rogers or #4 starting for him...

I have felt for many years that the Green bay Packers have essentially been the Cleveland Browns with a quarterback.  For 25 years they have started a HOF quarterback.  They have 2 Super Bowl wins.  Put those two on the Vikings and we probably win at least 4 that I can think of, and who knows how many we would be in.  It drives me nuts when they talk about how great Clay Matthews is or any of a number of pedestrian Packers.  This isn't just goggles here, the Packers have drafted mediocre or less and relied on QB Farve or Rodgers to bail them out.  Same goes with the receivers.  How great really has Sterling Sharpe?  How about the current group of run of the mill receivers who we have to hear about how all world they are?  Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, and whatever other bum they have wouldn't make WR3 on 90% of the teams in the NFL.  Quite simply they have had a horseshoe stuck up their butt.  Eventually it will all even out I suppose and the Packers will revert back to the Lindy Infante and Lynn Dickey years.

That was so pathetic and sad by Hundley. But he wasn't helped at all. McCarthy sucks. You know what is even more beautiful? Capers and Thompson have had their reputations built up to such epic proportions that no one looks there for blame and responsibility, except outside the talking heads. So hopefully they stay with what isn't working.

Anyone else think they'll be looking for a new, shiny QB come draft time?

which is why i want them to win some games down the stretch,  screw up their draft spot.  I want them to be a 7-9 team forever as long as the Vikings games are part of the 9 and not the 7.

Nope. That would require reflection and awareness. Is there any indication that they have these traits? All I am seeing is straight up denial and utter stubbornness. They are getting in their own way and I am alright with that.

To be fair, the Packers defense is equally as bad as Hundley.

I think they are tanking the season.  rogers is 33 going to be 34 in a month,  if they get a good pick they can take his replacement in this draft and basically hope to roll the same way they did with favre,  ride rogers another 3 years or so and then insert new guy on a relatively cheap contract extension as your franchise guy for the next 10+ years.

Could be. They could get a qb and not sniff the Super Bowl for another 15 years (12 years between previous appearances plus the last gasp of Rodgers). At least that's how I hope it plays out. No more qb luck for Green Bay.

Fixed.  Brent needs to change how people pronounce his last name.  Or spell it Hundyel.

I don't doubt they could have traded him, for some reason teams love young QBs that have been with Elite qbs for multiple years, but Hundley sucks.

Green Bay should have made a move on Kap right after Rodgers broke his body. He could have helped them and given them a chance to hang in there and given Rodgers a chance to come back this year.  At this point they're dead in the water, and that's awesome.
