... looks like he doesn't even want to play.  I'd yank his ass out of there if he doesn't get out of this funk.

Are you saying that fans stating the obvious should be shamed?  I mean, it was crystal clear from the first Vikings drive that something was off with Bradford.  Then it was abundantly clear after the first quarter that he couldn't be effective with his knee holding him back.  Why is everyone being so fucking sensitive about anything regarding Bradford?
Personally, I think this team is MUCH better with a healthy Sam under center.  After last night, it doesn't look like he'll be playing until after the bye week at the earliest...  which sucks, because I don't see us as a playoff team if Case has to start the majority of the year.

Nope. Reflex action every time I hear the word shame...

Ha!  I went back to read the previous replies...  gotcha now.  Maybe I'm the one being too fucking sensitive...  LOL

Funny Comment from PFT rankings:

Sam Bradford hadn’t spent that much time in the fetal position since exiting the womb.

Exactly.  You don't blame a player who gives it a go.  The coaches have to make that call.  I'm relieved they pulled him when they did
I'm with you and Sticky on this one (waits for world to end).

He's probably one of the top backups in the league. We are LUCKY to have him. I may be completely off with this prediction, but I think Teddy is going to be playing for us yet this season and Keenum will be our guy until then. It's just a feeling I have, may turn out I'm completely wrong.
I'm largely fine with Case, but he's had a couple of brutal games where he didn't have anyone "rallying" too long into poor performances.  I agree that we're very likely to see Teddy back under center soon, and we've seen how the team responds to him...I just hope that our downfield game doesn't recede with Teddy's re-emergence.
I'm worried about Teddy's mental state in taking a shot to the knee, as well as the downfield game you mention
Right there with you.  Hell, I'm worried about MY mental state in regards to Teddy's knee...and Sam's knee...yeeeeesh.....

He didn't play for three weeks and you all called him a baby, he tries to play and the pain was too much, after what he went through last year I really don't think he has a low tolerance for pain....  That's just an idiotic thing to say.

The Vikes are in the middle of 3 division games in a row.

Bradford practiced twice.

Bradford has been with the same offensive cordinator on 3 different teams.

I find the idea he shouldnt have been out there because he wasnt mentally ready laughable. We werent playing the Bills or the Browns; we just lost our 1st NFC North game to Detroit. Losing that game to Chicago would have been a disaster.

Here's a challenge: who do you want to start at QB this week? If Bradford can't participate ALL week, you want Keenum to start, right? ... none of this limited shit that obviously indicates an excuse for bad play, right?

Keenum took practice reps. Zimmer made the switch. When is the last time a player was "rushed" back from injury, benched mid-game, and then the team ends up with a W? Zimmer get 0 credit for that, while a lot of people backing Bradford are ignoring the victory to fling shit at a coach who had his team ready to play.

... if the arguement is speficially his knee, limited mobility and inability to follow through than fine. Mechanics? Cool. I get that. I don't understand not being mentally ready. He's probably started on less preperation in the past...

Teddy plays with a severely sprained ankle and a broken wrist to win a bowl game because he has “it.” Sleeves just can’t get that wrecked knee going and is falling over when people sneeze on him or shadows approach. Teddy has been near his teammates in every shot this year while sleeves is alone on the bench looking disinterested. Even keenum gets credit for getting the team going. The job of the QB.

I’m ready for Teddy.

Who called him a baby?  Quit being the Master of Hyperbole, Bob...  It doesn't suit you very well.

im not saying sleeves is a pussy. but his knee looks shot (at this point is it bone on bone = arthritis??? meaning hes basically done) and the fact he hasnt pushed through to find game winners or games like yesterday or even to find big play 3rd downs when needed is the reason id rather go with teddy than spend a ton and our future on sam. yeah sam has the arm talent few have, the reason he was a #1 pick, but his heart and health dont make him worth it.

It certainly wasn't my intention...  I was JACKED UP when I heard Bradford was going to play last night.

The let down of seeing him clearly still hurt and completely ineffective was a major let down.  At that point, I was hoping like hell they'd yank him so we could try to salvage a win with Keenum...  Hence the reason I started the discussion...

I should have known better...

i was cheering and hoping for the best bradpool possible too. i wanted that player i saw week 1 because i want the playoffs and more. but he clearly wasnt right last night. i just want some solid qb play because our D is legit, or WRs are legit, it sucks cook went down, but murray/jet can function with a decent qb.

so we have the talent, but we need some health.

Zimmer said Sam looked fine in practice. He also said they limited his snaps and when asked why, he said because thats just what we did. I'm paraphrasing of course.

He didn't look like he was hurting the first quarter, just off. But, get hit once or twice and have to move around and things change.

I'm glad they gave him a shot to play, I'm glad it was decided to go with Case in the second half, and I'm glad they won the game.

I'm not sure how well everyone thought he'd be.

I was wondering about how the switch in game went down. Gruden was talking about us making a change for a while during the 2nd quarter. He speculated we should make a change and then declared Keenum was getting ready to go in prior to a commercial. When we came back, Bradford was handing the ball off.

"**** you Gruden!" I thought, pulling for Bradford to pull through and shut this guy up.

Then Keenum comes out on the next drive to end the half...

"Damn, well... alright... here we go!" I thought...

Looking back, I've been kinda wondering... did Bradford miss the memo, or otherwise tell the coaches to stick it after the coaches told Keenum to warm up? Did Keenum throw his helmet on or something and get Gruden a little excited? ... lol ...

With the way his passes were sailing even early in the game it sure seems like he was having issues even then.  Couldn't step into throws properly?    Who knows but he wasn't even close to accurate.  He showed that when healthy he can move around.   He was folding quicker than Ponder in this game.  Clearly he isn't ready and won't be for a while.

But if you aren't saying "sleeves" is a pussy, why do you question his heart and whether he has "pushed through"? The questions about Bradford's knee - and about Bridgewater's - is about verifiable data. When you make assertions about which of these two has more "heart", or inspires his fellow players, or is nicer to his mother, or whatever, is just speculation that you or anyone can make up to support your personal player preference.

I was very enthused for Sam's talent and never saw any indication that other players - like the WRs who had the best production of their careers with him on the field - were insufficiently inspired to earn their salaries. But his knee problems are frustrating and apparently chronic. That said, what would make anyone who is being fair think the same problems won't plague Bridgewater?
