OT: Bud Light Commercial
Watching the Bills-Jags game and saw the Bud Light commercial. Oh, they love 'Joe Lunchpail' again! All about the everyday NFL fan! lmao, dumb asses.....
It's business, corporations do what they gotta do to make money
too many suckers out there with short memories
Unfortunately past decisions alienated them from their core consumer.
Take em a long time to mend that fence.

I honestly don't give two shits, I've got Bud Light in my fridge right now. But this was an epic Marketing mistake on their part. Let's alienate the 'frat bros' that guzzle BL like its water all week against the transgender crowd that I highly doubt is drinking ANYWHERE near the amount the college bros are. Its just so dumb. Don't go woke over shit water beer that dudes end of slamming literally day long because its so low alcohol. And low calorie. Its the conceptual aspect that was so missing the mark. Consumption is the name of the game.
I saw that and just laughed. Like we know who you are now Bud Light, and for them to make a commercial like they are for the "everyday working man fan" is just laughable. I'd love nothing more than to see that company go out of business, and theor beer sucks anyways..

I'll drop this and then I am out of this thread;
As the parent of a transgender young adult, the fact that this angered, frigtenened, alienated anyone is sad to me and my wife.
Our kid would not hurt a fly, was kind as a child and she'd be the first to help a person/critter in need etc. There is NO recruitment of kids or forcing her lifestyle on anyone.
I wish the world could live and let live, but I also wish for peace in the middle east...

For me at least, it was just more of a case of I can't believe this is the direction and message Bud Light was choosing to push when there are a million other non controversial/worthy causes out there they could have chosen to get behind. It was clearly a political move that blew up in their faces and nobody should feel sorry for them, I certainly don't. This new commercial of theirs is entirely disingenuous and everybody knows it.But I agree, what happened to the good ol' days of people just living how they want to live without it becoming political and pushing their agendas or lifestyles down everybodys throats? That's where this all becomes a big issue.

Half a million people and most are beer drinkers and are there to party and AB couldn't give away their products.

Miller and Coors, both of whom publicly support the LGBTQ community and have previously done pro LGBTQ spots. So the people who left AB over a beer can simply chose another company which supports the cause they left another company over.
That said it has all been worth it. Just to see Kid Rock so up in his feelings over a beer that he literally got choked up while shooting his hissy fit for social media. Meanwhile he didn't have the balls to ever pull Bud Light from his bar
Huge advantage with a dvr. I rarely watch programming live and skip over commercials when playing the file. I'm not interested in commercials that promote political or social stances, period. I know where I can find more information on the topic if desired. I watch tv for enjoyment. Commercials with political or social stances take away my enjoyment, thus banned.

I don't watch commercials at all, but the NFL Network game I just left on and watched/did stuff and saw the BL commercial.
I don't know why anyone would willingly drink that stuff

This post is remarkably poignant.
Bravery by PF’s admission, and his child’s.
For me personally, live your life, just dont bring it to the streets, and scare the horses.

So don't misunderstand me: I'm not digging on transgender people. I'm digging on the ridiculous notion that transgenders would drink anywhere near the level of Bud Light that 'frat bros' would and that's what the VP of Marketing was saying: she wanted to 'elevate' Bud Light from partying college bros. Being an elitist Coast resident, she hadn't the vaguest idea that this would instigate vitriol with the mouth breathers that guzzle the shit like water. Why do that? You do it because you're a myopic dumb shit that probably would never, ever drink not only Bud Light, but any Lite beer, and couldn't be farther personally removed from the demographic that does.

degrees dont mean common sense, and marketing is largely about common sense first and then applying that degree to fine tune the approach, pretty obvious with this and so many other woke marketing decisions over the last few years that we are turning out people with college degrees that likely are incapable of actually understanding their jobs. engineering is another one that is getting scary... they can do the math, but they really dont seem to understand the issue to correctly apply their math, but dammit if they dont have the degree that says they are the experts to fix the problem.
