If he wasn't in the market, why was he that into the Vikings?  A guy that interviews just to explore his options doesn't get all butt hurt.

I dont read it that way at all.  He has been very positive towards the Vikings the last couple days so I dont see the "butt hurt" at all,  he is simply saying that he knows he has a good thing in michigan and is recommitting himself to that program and letting them know that this isnt going to a be an ongoing process. (basically saying hes not interested in interviewing for one of the 4 remaining openings.

I'm excited bout KOC, not as excited about the team of coaches he could have assembled vs Jim (Fangio, Munchak, Pep Hamilton).  I hope he proves me wrong.

That's my take and why I started this thread: it was the 'this is the last time' like he's SO annoyed about it.

I'm just curious if he'd be our coach right now if he'd simply taken a more humble approach--not assume the job was his, actually tried to learn something about our roster, and offer the suits a definitive plan moving forward. I mean that would be the expectation. We don't know what happened in those 9 hours, but I suspect Harbaugh's "plan" was insufficient....if he even had one.

That's my take and why I started this thread: it was the 'this is the last time' like he's SO annoyed about it. 

I don't see it that way. He put himself out there by coming to town for an interview on signing day. Perhaps he had the arrogance to think he would be handed the key to the palace when he walked through the door. We may never know. But when he left he had only complimentary things to say about the Vikings organization.
His "this is the last time" statement was nothing more than an attempt to mend fences with his current employer.
Not whining nor a snub of the Vikings.

I also wondered what was conveyed to him upon the initial Zoom meeting they had last Saturday. Maybe there was something said that gave him the impression he was the leader in the clubhouse, so to speak. I do remember reading somewhere that during KAM's interviews, when the topic of coaches came up Harbaugh was on the list and it was insinuated that he could be had.

Again, none of it matters anymore but it sure was fun while it lasted. On to the KOC-KAM regime! Wait, that doesn't sound right rolling off the tongue.
