Thielen comments
Fast forward to the 9:15 mark when AT talks about the disappointing 3 and out after the Barr tip and INT. At the 9:30 mark he says, "I'm just a player, I don't call the plays" and adds "we gotta make whatever play is called work and find a way to make it the best play".
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. — Robin Williams

Zimmer…!? ;) B)

I think it was more about the system and what the offense was allowed to do. Now we hear Adam starting to be vocal in the media again. Albeit not nearly as vical as Diggs was.I think that is the key difference. Diggs would do his cryptic shit tweets and approached from the petulant diva method. Thielen has been critical, but seems to come in more of a measured and professional approach.
Does Rick go too, or just Zim? For better or worse, I think Rick stays. I could be way off about that though.

It's weird because I have heard both. Some say that it's either both Zimmer and Spielman or just Zimmer. You would think it would make sense to get rid of both and start over. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I think Zimmer is doing a fine job of throwing himself under-the-bus without any help from Spelly.I do not think Spelly and Zimmer are a package deal.
I think it is likely Spelly stays on and helps hire his second HC. I would be fine with that and I would also be fine if they decide a full clean slate.

Would it really happen though? I think its very possible. And I'd be for it. He's an excellent coach and game strategist, IMO. Still young at 41. I just read he was born in Minneapolis?? I'd love to see him coach Cousins and mentor a young, drafted QB (Mond or someone new). Why would Shanahan be available? He has been given full control and was handpicked by Lynch. They have a had major injury problems well beyond the roller-coaster with Jim G. Do we assume Lynch or shananhan made the decision to draft Lance? Bottom line for me on Shanahan is if he is let go that would be a huge red flag for me because that would mean Lynch lost faith in him.
Moore is just so inexperienced in life and coaching :)
But I am keeping a close eye on these guys the rest of the season. I want someone with an OC background. So, I want to watch how the offenses of Dallas, Bills, Panthers, Rams and they under-the-radar Byron Leftwich of the Buccs, finish the season and then perform in the playoff matchups....which will be very revealing.
This is also why you wait until the end of the season to start fresh - unless you have a guy inhouse already.

Who knows? maybe he decides he wants a change. There is a lot of talk about both Shanahan and Lynch leaving but time will tell. Sometimes a coach will hit somewhere else.Yeah Moore is an interesting one. He is young but maybe that makes him hungry and innovative.
I am definitely watching to see who is available to see how the teams you listed are doing. We also have to consider who else is looking for a coach.
A guy in house? Not so sure about that. This season is going to be long and agonizing. That royally sucks.

No, you're right. There is an obvious problem...and it sure as hell ain't Rick Spielman. No, that whole "rebuild from the ground up" nonsense is just talk radio blather. This isn't the Jets or the Texans. Teams like this don't do complete rebuilds.

3 playoff wins in 16 years. I don't want Rick picking the next head coach. The talent level and drafts are nothing to brag about. They need a fresh perspective from outside the building that is obvious.

I had read something where both of Zimmer's playoff wins are when they have blown a second half lead, may even be 4th quarter leads, and then the offense bailed them out for a W. Sound familiar based on this season? It's time for him to go. I'm so in the middle on Spielman as he has drafted some really nice players in the later rounds, but he has also whiffed enormously on some first round picks.

I am leaning towards cleaning out the front office as well as the coaching staff. sell me on Spielman.

Or the next QB…!!!
Diggs had nothing to do with Cousins. He’s been clear on that. He had major issues with the offensive scheme and the conservatism of the coaches. He was right too, and it’s still a problem this year.
