Was he known for drops in college?   I don't remember much since WR was a position I knew we weren't looking at early.

Man, I dont know if I can throw too much shade drafting Ja'Marr when they did??

Chase had (has) the upside to maybe be the best of all the exemplary LSU WR's

Ja'Marr and Burrow had a hell of a connection back in the day that should translate to pro's

They did get an OT in Carman out of Clemson in 2nd rd. Big dude who protected the blindside of you know who for # of seasons.

They already have a LT in Jonah Williams they drafted in the 1st round in '19.

I read a little bit about it. I guess she is an Instagram model. Some of the sources I have never heard of. I guess we'll see what happens.

His one pass? A bubble screen to Chase.

He dropped it.

Ja'Marr Chase this preseason  5 targets  4 drops  1 catch

He had 5 total drops during the entire 2019 CFB season

Ja’Marr Chase attributed his case of the drops to the NFL ball being bigger than than the college ball and not having white stripes. The #Bengals assistant WRs coach cited “rust” after Chase didn’t play football in 2020.

Lol.

The sun was in my eyes.

Does this mean he's going to have 10 catches for 175 and 2 TDs against the Vikes?  ( G dammit I'm such an old jaded fan)  B)

I'd be more worried about Higgins.

It's been a difficult preseason for Bengals rookie Ja'Marr Chase.
The No. 5 pick in the 2021 NFL draft tallied four drops in his last two preseason games ahead of Week 1 on Sunday, raising some serious concern in Cincinnati regarding its first-round selection. Chase attributed one drop in the preseason finale to a "lack of concentration," though he cited another interesting issue as he adjusts from the college game.
"The ball is different because it is bigger," Chase said, per Bengals.com. "It doesn't have the white stripes on the side so you can't see the ball coming from the tip point so you actually have to look for the strings on the ball at the top, which is hard to see because the whole ball is brown and you have the six strings that are white."
"But for the most part, just have to get used to it and find out what I am comfortable with catching."
Chase certainly has time to rebound after a shaky preseason, and it makes sense for him to sport some rust after sitting out the 2020 season. But as fellow rookie receivers Jaylen Waddle and Devonta Smith appear to be making an easy transition to the NFL, the pressure may rise in the coming weeks. A drop-free Week 1 vs. Minnesota could go a long way to rectifying Chase's shaky start with the Bengals.

Yep. Higgins is their WR1. And if he's not he should be.

While there’s a lot of hype surrounding the return of quarterback Joe Burrow, and for good reason, the most-dynamic player on the Bengals offense is almost certainly running back Joe Mixon.
That’s something Vikings defensive tackle Michael Pierce made abundantly clear before Wednesday’s practice. As a former Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle, Pierce has bad memories of playing against the 6-foot-1, 220-pound Mixon.

“For a big back, he’s really, really fast,” Pierce said. “He has a really, really complete game. He can run inside, run outside, and he can break those long runs. Unfortunately I’ve been on the receiving end of a few of those things. There’s not one thing we can hone in on him, like he’s a power back, or he’s a speed guy. He can do literally everything.”
“We have a great running back here and Dalvin gets the praise he deserves,” Pierce added. “I don’t think Joe gets his due. But with success and winning seasons, that will come for him. He’s a threat, so we have to be on our P’s and Q’s and limit those things.”
