Another big day. Would be nice for an improvement out of the CBs and the OL today.

#Vikings co-DC Andre Patterson said Stephen Weatherly adds a new element to the defense in terms of pass rushing.

“Stephen can rush out on the edge and as you know we were able to move him inside . It’s good to have a guy here with that type of versatility.”

Danielle Hunter said after his first practice back he felt like he had nothing to worry about with his neck and that everything with his injury is behind him. Asked whether he put any restrictions on himself/his workload, Hunter said he’s “unrestricted. I can do whatever.”

Andre Patterson said the first time Michael Pierce did 1-on-1 pass rush drills, he was surprised by how quick and effective he was. Patterson grabbed him and said “don’t ever let anyone tell you you can’t pass rush.” Dre says his job is to get that out of Pierce even more.

Hoping Pierce will prove to be a Pat Williams type signing for us. Signed to stop the run, but provided much more pass rush than anyone expected.

Watched a bunch of Baltimore replays on NFL Network. Very underrated as a pass rusher. He consistently can get the QB off his spot. He'll have a lot of hurries, hits. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets 4 or 5 sacks.

Looks like Mackensie Alexander isn't practicing today due to the hamstring injury I noticed yesterday. He's not in pads. No Anthony Barr, Danielle Hunter, or Justin Jefferson either.

Great pocket for Kellen Mond, who just misses Whop Philyor over the middle. Throw was a bit high, would’ve been a 30-yard gain.
