All Time Vikings Team
I mean, everyone's list is subjective...but no Page?
Seems heavily weighted toward 70s and 80s, but not much to argue with. A couple...
One more year and Kendricks is over Siemon. Barr easy over Studwell. Winfield over Lee.
Was a sieve against the run. Look at opponents rushing in 4 super bowl losses.

I'd say Harrison is creeping up close to making the Vikings all-timer lists too.

Wait, where's Alan Page? Gotta put him over Millard.

Winfield yes, Kendricks not yet, Barr no.
@"MaroonBells" said:AD is one of the all time best and other than Moss may have been the most physically gifted player ever in purple, but I would take Foreman as my favorite Viking RB. He was the complete RB, an amazing receiver and the best RB I have ever seen in the open field. He was also a great leader.@"savannahskol" said: RB Peterson > Foreman Definitely.
Yeah, I've seen pretty much all of them and I would probably rank Page the #2 player in Viking history.

Strong case for all 3, but my heart lies with 88.

#10 Francis Asbury Tarkenton.
@"JR44" said:Just depends on the criteria you're using. Favorite? Most successful? Most talented? Chuck Foreman was probably my favorite, but AD was one of the most talented RBs to ever play the game. As good as he was, Foreman wasn't quite on that level.@"MaroonBells" said:AD is one of the all time best and other than Moss may have been the most physically gifted player ever in purple, but I would take Foreman as my favorite Viking RB. @"MaroonBells" said:Sure a strong case can be made for either...@"JR44" said:Just depends on the criteria you're using. Favorite? Most successful? Most talented? As far as a pure runner? Power? Peterson is about as good is it ever gets/got. I met him a # of times in person and I could not imagine for the life of me how anyone could tackle that man.
@"PurpleCrush" said: I mean, everyone's list is subjective...but no Page? You know, if it's my list, I'm putting the guy who was:
One of two defenders in NFL history to be named league MVP
Two time DPOY
All Pro 9 times
236 consecutive game starting streak
28 blocked kicks
23 fumble recoveries
150 unofficial career sacks (which would be first for IDL)
4 time Super Bowler
1 losing season in his career as a Viking
But, maybe that's just me.

When compiling 1st and 2nd all-time Viking teams some time ago I used 2 RB and 2 WR criteria. I absolutely loved Chuck but would have to give the nod to AP if only one selected. Both made my first team.
