DAVIS!!
I expect the OL to be (L to R) Darrisaw - Cleveland - Bradbury - Davis - O'Neill

That is our optimal lineup, right there. That's the best case scenario. Fingers crossed for health and incremental growth by the starting rookies.

Trump would get a stiffy looking at that wall. Impenetrable. Cousins will have 10 second pockets. Super Bowl, Homies.
Just a lil bit of hyperbole there.
not to be that guy.... but who else is not expecting much from Cleveland at LG? its been the achilles heel of this unit since Hutch played there, no matter who they tried there its been a bust. personally I was hoping they would at least try Davis at LG and then switch them if he struggles to pick it up.

I think Minnesota is going to be looking for a new LG in 1 to 2 years. But I like Davis at RG. I just think Cleveland is not going to pan out.

That's not a hot take.
A first round LT prospect who dropped to the 2nd round, and pretty good PFF grades from last season, Cleveland has a far better chance to succeed there than any of the series of clowns we've had there since Hutch.

Hard to say that: he was very inconsistent last year. I'm not ready at all to dump on him, but he got shoved around for a big kid. My luke warm take is I don't feel confident he'll improve greatly.

It's not hard to say at all. That's why I say it's not a bold take: Charlie Johnson, Brandon Fusco, Pat Elflein, Dakota Dozier. I'm about 99% certain Cleveland will be the best of that group.

actually wasnt his PFF grades not that great? like lower 1/4 of those in his group? i remember seeing his grades and thinking that I thought he was better than the was graded.

LIke most rookies, he was up and down. Did well run blocking and not so well pass blocking. His overall grade was 66.2. Actually that's a pretty good mark for a rookie, playing right guard for the first time in his life.I looked at the PFF grades of all the OLs we considered in free agency, from Joe Thuney and Forrest Lamp to Austin Blythe, Lane Taylor and Eric Fisher. Their first few years vary between OK and awful.
Cleveland's overall rookie grade at RG was better than all of them including Thuney. I think Ezra's got a bright future, especially on the left side. But we'll see.

I would imagine rookies are going to be blown away by the Vikings state-of-the-art facilities.

Wait till he sees the Bank.

Everything I've heard is that he played very well for a rookies thrust into the starting line up while changing positions. I don't see how going back to his natural side won't help him.
