Placeholder For Offensive Lineman

Honestly, took a couple iso looks at Leatherwood. I saw too much standing around.
-Gregory Rousseau (2019): 0 pressures, 0 sacks
-Jaelan Phillips (2020): 1 pressure, 0 sacks
-Boogie Basham (2 gms): 0 pressures, 0 sacks
Darrisaw shows why he's a 1st rounder and what some people don't like about him. See the 3rd clip. Does a great job of reach blocking the inside zone run, but then just stands there.
He's a near perfect fit for us. Big, strong, quick, long arms, comes from an inside/outside zone offense, run blocks well, pass blocks well, reach blocks well. If you can get him to play to the whistle, you'd really have something.

Next to Sewell, he's the best fit for what we do. Time to start banging the table for Darrisaw and Robinson draft combo.
Of course, Cosmi is the type of athlete we like at OT.

With horrific inside play for the last 3 years, it's no wonder why this OL, which has talent performs poorly overall.Interesting cha with DL coach today. We were discussing building an OL. This was our big takeaway- More important how good your worst guy is than how great your best guy is. Defenses attack your worst guy every week. You can improve your worst starters with 2nd & 3rd rd picks.
WE DO NOT NEED 5 ALL PROs, we need our worst lineman to be NFL average. So our LG, who is projected to be our worst performer this year, if he is NFL average this is a super bowl team.
Two NFL average G's (which Cleveland is already at, with nothing but upside to be very good), will make Bradberry much better. A strong wall up front will allow tackles to focus on their man and trust on stunts, which will make our OL much better. A quality 5 up front from NFL average to maybe an elite RT, would do wonders on a team with all of these weapons.
Get a OT in either 14# or Zeus, draft a G in the 3rd to compete with Cole. Hope that LG/RG, etc which will be our weakest link can be NFL average
A sleeper OT prospect that I like in this class is Marshall LT Josh Ball. 6'7" 308 35 arms. Functional athletic ability, play strength, & competitive toughness all jump out on tape. pic.twitter.com/YGdMdzP458

So starting the two worst guards in the league( Samia & Dozier) had to confuse the shit out of ‘em...! ;)
. Spencer Brown, OT, Northern Iowa
This is one of the best overall athletes in the class and a unique player in general. Brown’s testing, at 6-foot-8, 310 pounds, was ridiculous. A 4.88-second 40 with a 4.44-second shuttle and a 7.03-second three-cone. He benched 29 reps and had a 9-foot, 9-inch broad jump. Brown flashed some really solid stretches in team drills at the Senior Bowl and basically had a Tristan Wirfs-level pro day at tackle.
Just like Humphrey at center, Brown’s athletic traits are basically perfect for his position. You could argue he’s almost too tall, but not with how well he bends and moves. His game still needs polish, but Brown’s odds of still being on the board come Day 3 seem to be decreasing quickly.

Christian Darrisaw crushing Surratt. Athletic and can move and outstanding in pass protection. Could be best in this class, which goes against most of the pre-draft thinking pic.twitter.com/4SVwgXkZSS

Adrian Ealy is a late day 3 guy who is limited athletically but really does a nice job of understanding what he can do well and capitalizing on it. Here's some crafty technique & awareness from him that jumped out. Did some good things against Ossai vs. Texas in 2020 as well. pic.twitter.com/BCcHXCJaq0
