Coaches interviewing

The two teams that have requested HC interviews with Chiefs' OC Eric Bieniemy so far are the Falcons and Lions, per source.

seriously, the NFL cant have candidates wait until their team is eliminated to interview?

I don't know that I'd bet against him, especially if the table is set a bit like it would in Jacksonville.

Only problem in Duuuuuval county is Shad Kahn thinks he's Jerry Jones. He had final say on the roster in 2020 and plans on continuing that. Not sure any top tier HC candidate is going to put up with that.

I'm not sure about that. His process is very strong, close to a Saban or Belichick in that regard. His record in college is 187-32. 12-3 in Bowl games. That is prolific success. He's going to be getting Trevor Lawrence as the Jags coach (if the rumors are true).

Urban lives in L.A., he ought to just take the Chargers job.  Proven qb there already, you can build on that.  Trevor Lawrence despite the hype is still just another gamble, like every NFL draftee.   Although I doubt Spanos is going to cough up 12 mil for anyone lol.

I am with you there. If there was a coach I wanted the Vikings to 'throw' money at, this would be the guy. He knows how to win and has done so everywhere he has been.

He recruited well and good players make good coaches.  Acquiring talent in the NFL is different and harder, and I don't know that Urban can do much about that especially if he were working under the genius Ricky.   If Lawrence pans out it will go a long way towards success regardless, but that is not certain despite the Lawrence hype-ola.

 It's moot anyway, Meyer would never come to Minnesota and besides the purple is sticking with tweedle dee and tweedle dumb for yet another year of mediocre football cuz that's how they roll.   2021 here we come.

The #Texans interviewed Matt Bazirgan, Trent Kirchner, Omar Khan, Louis Riddick and were scheduled to interview Scott Cohen. Sources say those five were on the final candidate list search firm Korn Ferry presented to the team.

Nick Caserio was not.

Former Ohio State HC Urban Meyer has been assembling a coaching staff, including some assistants from the college ranks, should he decide to become the Jaguars' next HC, per league sources.
