  • Florida State junior DB Asante Samuel Jr. has opted out of the team's remaining games to prepare for the 2021 NFL Draft. Samuel (5'10/184) appeared in eight games this season for the Seminoles before deciding to opt out. With the Seminoles losing two straight games due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it makes sense that the junior cornerback would decide to begin his preparations for the NFL Draft process now. Samuel finished the season with 31 total tackles (1.0 for loss), three interceptions, six pass breakups, nine passes defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. Samuel projects to be a Day 2 selection in this spring's draft, and Pro Football Network draft analyst Tony Pauline has given him a third-round grade.

I knew Rondale was short, but 5'0 doesnt seem attractive for an NFL receiver :-)

BYU junior WR Dax Milne declared for the NFL Draft.Milne (6'1/190) had a relatively understated 2019, catching 21 passes for 285 yards and two touchdowns. However this year Zach Wilson's roommate exploded on the scene, recording seven games with 99 yards or more in 12 contests. He ends the year with 70 receptions on 91 targets for a sterling 77 percent catch rate while only dropping two catchable pass opportunities. His 1,188 receiving yards ranks fourth in the country as Milne displayed impressive body control and had a knack for reeling in deep balls thanks to advanced route running and technique. His NFL Draft slot will ultimately depend on how he performs at the NFL Scouting Combine. Milne currently projects as a mid-round selection.

Or Harrison Smith. Or Dalvin. Or Everson...Spielman just likes to have ammo to maneuver in the draft. He's already got that this year with several tradable picks in rounds 3-5, so I don't see him trading down much in '21.

That said, if there's a target he knows is not on too many radars and he knows he can get him late on day two (think Alexander Mattison), you can bet he'll trade down through a value glut and gather even more picks that can be turned into another lotto haul season.

TCU FS, SC WR; two others enter draft … A couple of more underclassmen announced earlier today that they would be entering the upcoming draft including rising TCU FS Trevon Moehrig and Southern Cal WR Amon-Ra St. Brown. Both are juniors with second round potential for the upcoming draft. Currently, St. Brown is rated as the 50th top overall prospect for 2021 on the GBN Big Board while Moehrig is 55th. Meanwhile, two other somewhat lower ranked juniors also entered this year’s draft including Auburn WR Tony Schwartz and Oklahoma OT Adrian Ealy.
January 2, 2021 - 2:42 pmRising UGA OLB Ojulari, two others enter draft … Fresh off a dominating performance in Georgia’s dramatic Peach Bowl win over previous;y unbeaten Cincinnati in which he had 3 sacks and 2 forced fumbles, Bulldawgs’ redshirt sophomore OLB Azeez Ojulari has announced that he will be foregoing his remaining college eligibility and entering the 2021 draft where he projects as a potential mid-to-late first-round prospect. The 6-3, 240-pound Olujari, who led the Bulldawgs in sacks and tackles for loss this year, is currently the 21st overall prospect on the GBN Big Board. Ojulari will be joined in the 2021 draft fold by a couple of PAC-12 juniors including Southern California DT Marlon Tuipulota and Colorado OG William Sherman. The entry of these three brings the total number of underclassmen who have declared for the upcoming draft to over 90 with a bunch of top prospects still to be heard from.
January 1, 2021 - 6:32 pmBYU QB Wilson; three others enter draft … Star BYU junior QB Zack Wilson announced this afternoon that would in fact be entering the 2021 draft where he could conceivably go as high as the second pick overall. Also announcing in the past 24 hours were Stanford QB Davis Mills, as well as CBs Tre Norwood of Oklahoma and Olaijah Griffin of Southern California.
