Mentioned it in a post the other day to @FSUVike. The Vikings are going to love his fit.
Geoff....asides from Okudah, and probably Henderson, who do you see as the top 3 fits as far as corners go in this draft for the Vikes? I've seen Johnson & Gladney, but what about guys like Fulton, Terrell, and any others?
@"Geoff Nichols" said: They also met with Tristan Wirfs (multiple times) and have met with Austin Jackson (maybe not yet?) and Prince Tega Wanogho. So definitely doing their work on athletic OTs....and you can bet they have done their work on Ezra Cleveland, too. I might like him a little bit more than Josh Jones. Slightly shorter arms, but even more athletic.
Another guy I like on day two on is Matt Peart. Guy's 6-7, 318, with nearly 37 inch arms and ran a 5.0 forty. That's a lot of length to get moving at a 5.0 clip. Good jump numbers. 4 year starter. Durable, never missed a game.

If the Big 4 OTs are off the board and Minnesota doesn't have a 1st Round grade on Jones there's nobody else to pick. I see Ruiz (C) at the tail end of the 1st in a few mocks. I personally don't have a 1st Round grade on any interior Lineman. But like Maroon and Barrnone I see a lot I like in the 2nd and 3rd

Ezra Cleveland remind me a lot of Brian O'Neill. I personally didn't like O'Neill as a prospect but I clearly missed on him.My issue with Cleveland is that he has been an O-lineman since freshman year (red shirted) and still hasn't gained the appropriate weight to hold up against NFL power. He managed at Boise but it won't work in the NFL. He's also incredibly raw technically for how many starts he's had. Not that it would disqualify him for me, but you would need to know why that is. Only an interview would solve that.
His testing and movement skills are awesome. Its just a matter of IF he can actually gain weight. Which I don't think is a given. O'Neill was slightly different since he was transitioning from TE where he wasn't expected to be as heavy.

I think they're going to really like AJ Terrell. A lot of people soured on him, but I actually like him quite a bit. After him I think Jaylon Johnson is a better fit schematically than Gladney but also like Noah Igbinoghene. He is a boom/bust prospect but with the right coaching could potentially be the best CB in this class.

But Cleveland doesn't need to add as much weight as O'Neill did. He's already 15 lbs heavier than O'Neill was. And an inch shorter. And remember, Kubiak loves the smaller, more athletic guys.
I guess Geoff think O'Neill is...Better Than Ezra...

Thanks Geoff. With that being said, do you think he makes it to our 2nd round pick, or would we have to get him with one of our firsts?

Mocked him to us several times.
Here's a kid I like and fits our scheme. Not the best prospect in the draft at OL, but the pickings are slim in the interior.

Probably not all the way to our 2nd round pick. Its possible, but unlikely. Doesn't mean they couldn't move up in the 2nd for Terrell or another corner.

5. Josh Jones
T6. I. Wilson
T6. Austin Jackson
8. Ezra Cleveland
I put Wilson behind Ezra.

He's overrating Wills IMO. And Wilson doesn't belong on a zone team. I'd put them Thomas, Wirfs, Jones, Cleveland, Becton, Wills, Jackson, but I have serious doubts about Jackson. With the caveat that I had serious doubts about O'Neill as well.
