Most.
Definitely not all 😎
Spreading a false narrative must just be in your blood. I don't think I have ever mentioned his 6-4 record. Said how has come back in wins. Put the team on his back for a couple wins. Don't worry Murray will start. He better not fail. Boy, I tell you he better not fucking fail.

I don't disagree that consistency is the ultimate goal. Every franchise quarterback has to become consistent.
Where we disagree is when it's reasonable to expect it.
You listed a bunch of quarterbacks who ultimately failed. That's hindsight. At 10 starts, nobody knew with certainty how their careers would end. Some improved. Some didn't.
My point is much simpler: 10 starts isn't enough to know.
McCarthy wasn't entering the league under normal circumstances either. He lost essentially his entire rookie season to injury, then made his first NFL starts after more than 600 days without meaningful football. That's a developmental setback very few quarterbacks have had to overcome.
Yes, he followed good games with bad games. That's called being a rookie quarterback. Josh Allen did it. Peyton Manning did it. Troy Aikman did it. Plenty of successful quarterbacks were wildly inconsistent early before the game slowed down.
If we're still having this same conversation after 30 or 40 starts, I'll be much more concerned. But after 10? I think declaring that inconsistency is who he is rather than where he is is jumping the gun.
No, 10 games is not enough to know, which is why we brought in competition. Because while JJ's development is important, winning is even more important. Now there are some who I'm convinced would argue the opposite, but this is a big org with a lot of stakeholders and a lot of very high-priced talent. With that much at stake, we can't afford to wait 30 or 40 more starts to know what we have in our young QB. One of these days we're going to wake up and Justin Jefferson will be 30.

Which I said in the edited post that I edited it and that I fixed because I was wrong. Nice try.

Yeah, I mentioned we have to get together as a board, as Viking's fans wanting the same thing. I hate to see the board divided with good posters on both sides that ultimately are more alike than not. Good posters on both sides with solid takes that I like reading.
Speak for yourself I'll be by the flagpole after school to put a beating on anyone who's Team Murray

I think KOC is slightly irritated that the whole media and fan world hasn't genuflected at the alter of K1. He's got no one but himself to blame after getting on his soapbox and saying how organizations let down young QBs.....then hypocritically does so. It takes some fortitude to hang in there, but maybe sweet realization kicked in when it happened to him that there needs to be 'standards in the QB room'. Which is a dig on JJ.
Whatever, just have to hope for the best.
IMHO the "competition" was supposed to be a sham but Kyler blew the gag on the first day of minicamp when he had the back-to-back picks in front of the press. KOC couldn't then turn around and declare Kyler the starter without looking like a total fraud. Credit to JJM that he's been playing even or above Kyler since then so KOC couldn't shut the door. KOC is still circling like a vulture though. The first bad day JJM has, the game is over.

Could be a lot of truth to this. Or McCarthy looked far better than KOC anticipated he would.
