Day 2 Practice ~ July 30 ~ Whatever ya got!
Day one is in the books. Quite a busy one, at that. Now on to day 2. Share whatever ya got! Inquiring minds want to know. ☺️
LIVE WELL ~ LOVE MUCH ~ LAUGH OFTEN
Cards were 2-3 with Murray last year.
1-11 without him.
Take all the time you need.

I wouldn't argue he wont get there, not yet...Some might believe that, but that's their prerogative and I wont try to change their minds, your mind, or anyone's minds on it.
The issue is (in many ways) this team is primed to win now and he simply didnt show enough (yet) to go into camp the undisputed starter.
When K1 became available for peanuts? It became a no-brainer to bring him in. IF it wast K1? It was going to be some other vet who could legitimately compete and start for the team day 1.
I cant fault the Vikings for that, in the least.
All that said, I still hope nine can start for this team one day and win a lot of games.
Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!

Well.....Vikings were 6-4 with McCarthy....3-4 without him. I'll wait. 😜

I’m going to guess that having a top tier D had a wee bit to do with our W/L record, no?

Yes sir, it does help. My main point is stats like what you posted and I posted have deeper meanings with variables. X-factors. Back stories. There's differing narratives on the board about both QBs, we'll probably have to fade it all until the bullets are live.
Honestly, I can see both sides. I really can despite what some might think. Whatever the narrative is that wins more games is the one that I'll enjoy most.

So you are saying stats can be twisted? Like the 1-11 without Murray had nothing to do with the rest of the team? Yet that was the end of the conversation in your opinion.
This bickering is so stupid. It will play itself out soon and then we can all break our arms patting ourselves on the back or completely ignore that we were wrong.
Would we have won the division if we beat the Bears a second time? Probably hard to say as GB might not have started their B team.

Yeah, I mentioned we have to get together as a board, as Viking's fans wanting the same thing. I hate to see the board divided with good posters on both sides that ultimately are more alike than not. Good posters on both sides with solid takes that I like reading.

All I’m saying is if you want to trot out QB W/L records as some meaningful stat (it’s not) at least look at the entire picture. Doing otherwise is practicing intellectual dishonesty.

Leaders take accountability. People can take all the time they need.

As much as the bickering here is old, you should visit some other fan sites...Maybe you have, it's just insanity out there.

I completely ignore the QB W/L argument.
I agree that it's disingenuous ...Posters here are (for the most part) smart enough to know it's not very representative and borderline meaningless.

I like everyone. Some are true leaders and others cry that don't get their way and take their ball and go home.
To be fair, other sites are awful. Like bad.

Arguing "quarterback wins" is just one reason I stay away from most of this stuff. They are dependent to a great extent on defense and not considered meaningful by serious analysts.
The Cardinals have been putting bottom-5 EPA defenses on the field for years. The Vikings are way better and I expect Murray to produce a good record in that environment.

Most.
Definitely not all 😎

I learn a lot from other posters...Dont have to be best friends on the internet, but I am at least intellectually enlightened by others takes here.
