You were set on your way of thinking with JJ. You just dropped him to follow along with the Murray circle jerk. I respected your strong stance. Following that kind of leadership is why we have the kinds like Mamdani, Ilhan Omar, and Omar Feteh trying to lead a bunch of followers. We will see how "well" that will work out for all of us.

Pal, its not about 'dropping' JJ.....its just inevitable that Kyler is going to be QB1. So I'm rooting for it to work out as a fan. I can't control it. So more of rooting for QB1 and fingers crossed. I know you, I, Ice and MadG are the resident JJM fanboys and that won't change. I still firmly believe that 10 games starting doesn't prove anything and he deserved to be supported and developed by the staff for 2026. We'll see how it all plays out.

Just trying to make lemonade out of lemons! Can't deny there's upside with Murray, but I'll have to see it first. 👍

Well, I think we have a good group of: the Murray believers.....those that have to wait and see before believing with questions....and ones that just don't see Kyler Murray doing much in Minnesota. It serves the conversation better IMO. I'll defend JJ however from unfair criticism and I also recognize there's legit things TO criticize.

You said that strongly and powerfully.

You can't teach heart, will to win, or that gear that some have to take over when it's needed. You can't teach pure leadership or the want to play alongside a player like that. Do I see any of that with Murray? Absolutely zero. That is how you get false leadership and destroy the system from within. I just don't think it will end well, and I definitely think it's a mistake to bank on Murray as anything more than a 2026 fill in.

Plus, I don't pay any attention to that person behind the curtain.

I will repeat what I’ve said previously as to not be “labeled” in any sort of way that isn’t in the best interests of the franchise: the best thing that could happen is JJ winning the QB1 job. We’d have 3 years of cheap QB play. Hopefully he does.

I do tire of those who constantly drudge up already disproven narratives or make up shit to suit their fanboydom. It’s transparent and honestly comical.

That is the problem. It hasn't been disproven as I have stated actual players that say the same thing. Just because someone refutes it, doesn't mean the things are not there. Just his short time in MN and what I have personally seen, proves along the lines of what many and I think is probably more true than it is not.

....so IMO, I don't think anything has been proven or disproven when it comes to Murray. I think we all have preferred narratives, and that goes for JJ as well, but none of us know what is actually going on behind the scenes or what did go on in year's past. As fans, we've only 'read' things....or heard things in interviews from players that still leave questions.

Here's what we know: our top 10 drafted QB is in a QB 'competition' because of erratic play.....and Kyler Murray, a former overall #1 selection, was cut from a team that ate $37 million to get rid of him. But the QB room has been 'elevated', which is what KOC said he wanted. That's all I know! 🤔😬

You’ve personally seen these things? When? Were you at the OTAs?

A poster has been removed from this thread for injecting blatant political views ( not making a light joke about it) this is against board policy and as such was removed. ( not banned from anything, just removed from the thread)

Not being a dick here, but why is this time different? He’s done this in multiple threads without action. Maybe those went unnoticed?

I didnt notice, as I dont read every thread, ( honestly a lot of shit is going unread as I can only read the same QB stats so many times in a short period of time, no matter how many different threads they get injected into) I've let things slide at times if I dont see them in time and they dont create a side shit show, but we have a rule and when its caught being broken, it needs to be enforced.

Fair enough.

Did you know Kyler Murray has a QB rate of 91.1 when trailing?

Super misleading. That's usually garbage, come-from-behind soft defense yards/TDs that pad stats and your stat specifically. Arizona did a lot of 'trailing'. Especially with the record Arizona had with Murray. And the hero ball factor. Kyler has a narrative to overcome, if he can't do it in Minnesota this year he'll never do it. And that narrative is he isn't a winner.

Another fun fact. Only ~ 25% of his snaps came with play action. KO calls play action at a league high 62%.

He also completes over 70% of his passes while in the pocket in under 2.5 seconds.

Yup, end this "competition" asap.

For the sake of the rest of the Offense (especially the OL) and locker room too.

I have little appetite left for all this QB babble.

See what I did there? 😁

Hurry-up Vikings, we ain't getting any younger!
