I tend to think the truth is always some where in between in most disagreements. you hate Trump and couldnt be further away from his speak, does that make it the truth? is truth only what you believe or is there some way to quantify or prove truth?
why is there abosolutely any zero ground these days on anything? I know Trump is a lightning rod, but honestly, how many people actually listen to him speak vs getting their "version" of what he said from their favorite news source? How much positive/ negative twist is put on the story before we actually hear it? I used to say it all the time under the last administration during the tumultuous race mess that marred his second term... we all arent that far apart as Americans, we are just pushed and needled to the point of making a stand that we dont truly support 100% because somebody some where knows that its much easier to control us a Americans if we are more concerned about our neighbor than the people that are actually in a position to really hurt us and our ways of life.
how much of our rage is manufactured into us by our chosen sources vs actually seeing something at face value and deciding for ourselves? the rage and hate filled posts on these boards are useless to anybody (not actually calling anybody out here, both sides are plenty guilty of this ) but there was a time when people could present something with their views, in a manner that doesnt immediately trigger those of opposing views, and we had adult discussions that were actually very informative and fostered the community mentality.
Thats what a limited forum was supposed to return, unfortunately I think the door was swung to wide to quickly and not enough people want to be here for the designed purpose of the forum. plenty of places to scream at those of differing ideals, maybe we should try to be different and instead of rallying behind those that rage just because we believe similarly, lets get them settled down for the sake of the community.
How would we treat each other if we were at a tailgate?

Oh I agree that something needs to be done to preserve what I love about America, however name calling and what not on an internet message board does nothing to change the status quo. if anything it hinders progress with those that you disagree. Nothing good will come from the pissing and moaning on here, you arent going to get those that agree with you to go call a congressman/woman, but you sure might push somebody of the opposing view to action.
