Trump spoke directly against racists...but only NPR covered it among "major" outlets, while the others have happily piled on the rhetoric, finding sucking up the ratings/clickbait by feeding outrage with more outrage.
Most of the "tortured, caged immigrant" pics either came from Obama's time and/or were completely misrepresented (initially). The idiots "emboldened" by Trump in their douchenozzle gangs apparently ignore how he and his family have a pretty established history with the NY Jewish community (including his son-in-law, and his daughter joined the religion).
He's a babbling tool, but he's largely right about the media's treatment of him. Even if he's obnoxious (duh), they're supposed to report the news...not work angles via cherry-picking.
Like I said many posts earlier, all sides in this mess are classless. The DNC is a lying pack of s**t people who barely have a platform beyond spitting Trump's name and who are still largely led by the same "old white men" they hate to much. The GOP is basically a nervous, kicked dog, both obeying and resenting its "master" while still allowing the occasional racist and/or holocaust denier to achieve bits of power.
Neither are doing a damned thing towards really representing Americans.
The media is a horrible joke right now. Most of it aligns to the left at a time when the left is as horrid as it's ever been; they wouldn't recognize the classic definition of "liberalism" if it bit them on their self-appointed-elitist asses. At the same time, the right has the largest/most obnoxious party hack network plus complete junk like breitbart that seems to exist to scare white male Americans into moronic frenzies.
From the bleacher seats, this is wildly hilarious and completely horrifying.
Trump has too much power, directly due to his predecessors being allowed to gather it to the Oval Office; something many of the rest of us warned about. He SHOULD speak against the idiot "nationalists" regularly, in front of as many cameras as possible, so that particular issue could fade away. We, as a country, had those types of idiots mostly marginalized into tiny groups holding sad little "marches" to apathy and ridicule...before the recent press efforts to make them more relevant than they are.
It's all so impossibly stupid, and I genuinely wonder if a real revolution is coming from a country that's beyond sick of too many stooges getting all the attention.
