I'd probably hemorrhage from my eyes if we passed on Edwards in the second and then on Powers in the third...then I'd sharpen a pitchfork...

Good thread on Jonah Williams and why arm length matters for tackles.

OT's are more valuable but I think you'd be taking a player who'd be an average tackle and potentially allowing them to be an elite guard. I do think some of this can be corrected with good coaching. Jonah is one of the more polished O-lineman prospects technically but he needs to have more active hands to get D-lineman's hands off his breast plate. Easier said than done since the typical technique would to shoot back on the lineman's shoulder to give you back leverage but the lack of length prevents that. Instead you need to rip the arm off and use athleticism to reset and re-engage.

![]() ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. calls Oklahoma OL Cody Ford an offensive guard and believes he's in the top 25-40 range.Ford (6'4/338) is viewed as an offensive tackle by others and he's generated some minor top-10 buzz in the early goings of #DraftSZN, so this is a bold take by Kiper. The Athletic's Dane Brugler recently polled 12 NFL-types about the 2019 OT class and Ford received the most votes when asked who they believed would end up as the first tackle taken. Kiper's opinion is a reminder that NFL teams will be split on some of these offensive linemen, and it will take a team believing in Ford as an offensive tackle if he were to go inside the first 10 picks. Perfect LT for a ZBS as he's much more finesse than mauler despite his size. Fix his leverage issues and his tendency to wait for the DE to engage him and you've got a Franchise LT. But it's not just the technique, it's the inconsistent performance for a former 5 Star High School prospect. He can get stronger, but can he get meaner? Is it a motor issue? I'd be all over this selection but at 36, not 18. The ceiling is very high, but the floor is also lower than Williams or Risner or Taylor or Dillard or Ford.

Back flips, touchdown receptions, edge rushing...all at 320 lbs. Is there anything Saunders can't do?
