OT: What's Your Winter Drink?

I don't love regular Sam Adams, but their seasonal Winter Lager is really good.
I get some every year once I see it at the grocery store.

Blanton’s neat. But my stock is running dangerously low and haven’t found a new bottle in about a year.

Old Fashioned with a cube of sugar, Angostura, Sazerac Rye, splash of water, and two Luxardo cherries works, too.

Around Christmas, it’s egg nog with bourbon.

I've got some in the fridge right now: Costco sells a great Sam Adams variety case. I try to spread apart my beer drinking as its such a gut bomb to sit and drink non-light beer all the time. Its 200 calories for one Winter Lager.

A nice strong Manhattan of 4-1 Seagrams VO to sweet vermouth. A couple dashes of orange bitters a little cherry juice. 

Yes Seagrams VO..... You don't use high end whiskey for manhattans. No matter what the waiter named Aiden at the hipster bar tells you about their handcrafted manhattan.

Agreed. The sweet vermouth is a strong presence, not necessary to go high end on the whiskey. Where I'm from in Michigan, everyone had their Manhattans with brandy, believe it or not.
