He tore his pec.
That's brutal. He seemed like a perfect fit for us. I wonder what his recovery time will be and what will happen to his draft stock? I wouldn't be opposed to stashing him for a year, though kind of hard to do when we are low on picks.

MMQB's Albert Breer reports that Ohio State C Billy Price sustained a torn pec while taking part in the bench press at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Price (6'3/305) was expected to dominate in the bench press on Thursday, but it instead ended in disaster for the Ohio State standout. He sustained the reported pectoral tear on his third rep, after which he stopped in visible pain before being escorted out of the room by a medial attendant. The offensive lineman will wait on the result of an MRI for confirmation. It's not yet known if Price will need to undergo surgery, but the injury's one that could certainly prove problematic for a Day 1 selection. He's considered by some to be the top center prospect in the 2018 class. We'll pass along updates on his outlook as information becomes available.

If it is a tear, I think you have to assume he will not play his rookie year. If you get some playing time out of him his first year, consider it a bonus. I would think this knocks him out of the first round.

Too bad for him. 50+ consecutive games at OSU and he gets injured at his NFL audition.

Report: Center prospect Price has torn pec
The MMQB's Albert Breer reports Ohio State C Billy Price is believed to have suffered a torn pectoral during the bench press at the Combine.
It's the worst possible news after Price went down in pain following his third rep on Thursday. Generally regarded as the top pivot in the draft, Price had a shot at sneaking into the first round. That's probably gone now. The good news is, Price should have enough time to get healthy for Week 1.

The dreaded torn pec. How many of those did we deal with a couple years ago? But maybe you get him in the 2nd or 3rd round now.

i would run the card to the podium if he was there at the back of the 2nd round.  unless a true stud is there at 30 I would be looking to trade back this year,  sounds like a good year to have an extra 2nd and 3rd rounder IMO.  somebody get Cleveland on the phone... maybe they would like to have the whole first round to themselves?

Today they’re reporting just a partial tear, he may well be ready for camp?

Billy Price hoping pec injury doesn’t affect draft stockCenter Billy Price’s worst injury at Ohio State was an MCL sprain that didn’t even keep him out of practice. He set the school record for most consecutive starts with 55.
“That’s the irony behind it, I guess, and everybody’s making a headline out of it right now,” Price said. “Things happen. It’s football. You’re playing a very dangerous game. You’re training at a very high level, and everything you’re putting your body through to be the best and most prepared here at the combine, to be able to compete with your peers and to compete with the best centers in this class, the best guards in this class. It sucks. It did. Again, that was something I watched [Notre Dame guard] Quenton Nelson rip out 35, and I looked around and said, ‘OK, let’s go get this thing. Let’s go push the limit.’ Got in there felt great. Just something happens. It’s part of it.”
Seeking reps in the 30s on the bench press, Price said “something didn’t feel right” after three. An MRI diagnosed an “incomplete” pectoral tear. He will get a second opinion in the next few days. Surgery is not out of the question, he said, which would require a four-month rehab.
But it’s better news than it could have been as he will return in time for training camp.
“It’s a huge relief,” Price said. “You see guys completely tear their pec.”

im no doctor,  but I can google like a mother fucker and I once drove by a holiday inn express so just take this for gospel... sometimes a partial tear is worse than a complete tear.  the partial tear will scar up and feel ok,   but the strength isnt right and ultimately it will let go completely or at least worse than before and likely cause further issues.  IMO hes young and the damage has been done to his draft stock,  get it fixed now and see where the chips fall.
